My Jurney In The Northwest Regional Championship 2021/2022 Season

Greetings men and women of steem i salute 👏 🙏 you all.
I trust God we all are doing perfectly well in the amazing platform.

I am so happy to tell you people about my journey in the 2021/2022 Northwest Regional League that just ended today .

Introduction

My name is Kimeng Emile popular know as Wyz Cek young tallented football referee i really feel so overwhelm to tell you all about my journey in the 2021/2022 Northwest Regional League.

I won't start without touching my throwback.

I began this career 3 years ago in 2019 in the Camcil school field mile 4 Nkwen just by officiating Teken Veteran training games and other minor games in the same field .

As days kept going by i engage with a Referee training group call No Pain No Gain in mile 3 Nkwen where i met Fifa referees, National and regional league referees.

I trained with the group for about 5 months and in the beginning of the new football season that same year i enrolled in to Fecafoot Northwest
by validating the physical fitness test, writing and practicals.

I can't forget those who played a vital role in my life by then to make this first steb come to past.
Special thanks to @thegreens who encouraged me to believe in my self since from the first day he even contributed financially for me to afford my first referee Jersey God bless you sir.

This year the New football season started with a 3 days refresher course in ps Ntaffi school field Mendakwe.
The first day was about the physical fitness test which i validated and was one of the best .
The second day was the practical and the theoretical part which everything went well.

The kicked off of the Regional league began on the 16th of April with 22 teams sheared in 4 pools and each team played a total number of 10 matches with 5 in the first round and 5 in the second round.

With about 60 referees in the competition i am happy to officiate 9/10 of the games 5 as center referee and 4 as assistant referee.

My first game as a center referee was between Rangers High Landers vs Universal soccer Academy and it ended 2:0 In favour of Universal soccer Academy.

Some days i am appointed to officiate as an assistant referee after been mastered both the flag and the whistle it has really push me to go a long way in the regional league days that i am not appointedas a referee i see my name as an assistantreferee.

The most challenging game for me this year was Akam sport vs Abakwa boys though it wasn't a top match but both teams were really prepared for each other.

It was goalless game till the 90th minute ontil when the defender of Akam scored his own goal from a conner.


Among the 5 matches i officiated as center referee i have validated 12 goals, 13 yellow cards, 1 red card and 1 penalty .

Fair play has always been part of my game and i always try to educate the players the laws of the game especially when i discover they are lacking or having a shortage in the knowledge about the laws of the game.

The last game of the day between Tondic Vs Rush Fm.
Though Todic started the game with 10 men they played a zero all tie in the first half thanks to the arrival of one of their player arround the 30th minute.

And the score board continued the same till the 77th minute when the 8 shirted player scored a brilliant goal to put the under dogs of the group group C infront .

Today the league has ended only the first 2 from each group will qualify for the mini interpool that will start in some days ahead.

I really thank God for a successful league season with just a minor injury that occurred on match day 3 in Ps Ntafi School field Mendakwe just a knee sprain during warm up.
