How to prepare a simple delicious EKpang Meal.

The ingredients needed, procedure involved and how to prepare it .

EKpang is one the favorite meal recipe prepared in Cameroon .All most in all the ten regions of Cameroon .This special meal is almost enjoyed by everyone as a special meal in my country .Mostly prepared occasionally.To prepare it needs one to dedicate time.
EKpang is coco yam grated and rapped on a coco yam leaves .Prepared with palm oil , smoked fish ,Maggi ,salt and cryfish . These are the most essential things needed.EKpang in the process of cooking and ingredients involved contain vitamins, proteins and carbohydrates.All these are important to the human body . In the below section , I sharing a simple delicious recipe how to prepare EKpang meal below 👇🏼.
The following are ingredients needed to prepare EKpang meal. It should be noted that the quantity of your EKpang will always determine the quantity of the ingredients can use .
- Onions
- White pepper
- Garlic
- Coco yam leaves
- Two cubes of Maggi cravet
- A pinch of salt
- Crayfish
- Smoked fish
- Palm oil
- Country onions
The following are the steps and procedures in preparing EKpang meal.
Step1
Peeled your coco yam using a knife .Make sure. When you are done you wash the coco yam with clean so well with water .Ensure that the coco yam is clean .It should be noted you should not use your bare hands to wash it for can be itching.You can use a pistol or a strong wooden spoon to do that .
Step2
Grater your peeled wash coco yam using a grater . Always use the smaller size that will make it soft and easy to rapped it .
step3
Take your coco yams and washed them so well with clean water . Cut them into normal pieces that you will use to rap the EKpang inside without no problem.
step4
Add a cube of magi and pinch of salt in the grated EKpang and mixed together so well with a wooden spoon .This is always to ensure that when you prepare it .It should have a good taste .
Step5
Start rapping the grated coco yam on the coco leaves .There is technique you most use to do it so that it should not shatter when prepared .Fold it in the leaves round and make sure it tide before placing inside the pot .
Also make sure you most have first put palm oil in a pot and allow it to hot abit .Ensure the oil goes round the pot so that it will not stick while preparing it .Rapped and it in the pot in round shape.
Step6
After, grind your spices like country onions , white pepper and Garlic .Make sure you slice your onions desirable sizes.
Step7
Put your pot EKpang on the Gascooker or fire site .Add your ingridents on it plus ,your smoked fish .
Step8
Make a light wam water to putting inside your EKpang . Put it bit by bit at site of the pot and not in the middle .Also, use wooden spoon to stir it gently when it’s getting reading and add quantity of oil at your desirable choice. Make sure you adjust the flame so that your EKpang should not burnts.
Dont forget to add your Maggi and salt in the food .It should not surpasses the taste you now . All this cooking can take place in 1hour .Now your my delicious EKpang is ready .
