Betterlife - The Dairy Game | 21 - 06 -2022 | Outing with my Neighbors

Hello Cameroonians, welcome to another edition of connecting with me through my diary game. Yesterday Tuesday was a fun day and this is how it went down.

In the morning I woke up to face another day of blackout in my hostel. The whole situation is annoying. My phone was already low but still when I got up I sang some worship songs then I prayed before unlocking my phone. I went directly to steemit first and started sharing comments on the posts of other people. When my phone became critically low, I went up to my neighbors house and plugged my phone on charge there.

Coming back to my place, all I had left to do was to think about my life while my phone was on charge. My next door neighbor and I just started chatting and talking about our plans for after graduation and in the further future. It was quite interesting to listen to each others big dreams.

After like an hour I left and went to check on my phone. When I got there it had charged significantly so u unplugged it and started reviewing posts here in our community. I reviewed a number of posts then plugged my phone back on charge and went back to continue sitting in silence with my next door neighbor.

Afternoon came and we hadn't had anything to eat so we went out together and bought roasted corn and groundnuts. It was so delicious but very stressful to chew 😂. Nevertheless with the motivation of the hunger we still chewed it. We were supposed to have a group outing at 3pm so we just sat there waiting for the time to come around.

So 3pm came and it began to rain heavily, we were already so hungry and discouraged 😂. Thank God the rain stopped abruptly. So by some minutes past 4pm we dressed up and headed out to 48 spices restaurant (what3words). We were 5 of us so we took two different taxi rides there.

When I got to the restaurant alongside my next door neighbor of took the others so long to arrive. When we called them they said they were distracted so the driver took very far past 48 spices restaurant. So we had to sit there and wait for them.

When they finally came, we went in and looked for our seats. While waiting for our orders to come, I started curating posts in our community. I was really hungry sha. 48 spices is a restaurant that sells only grilled chicken and fries plantains. The chicken is split into 4 so 1/4 of it costs 2500frs (19.6 steem). The fried plantains, pepper sauce and mayonnaise come as complimentaries.

So above is my food, when it came i began to dig in. I ordered very cold Malta Guinea drink, it costs 650frs (5.1 steem). The food is so delicious especially the pepper sauce.

We ate and drank to our fill. So we finally left the restaurant at 6:30pm. We then noticed that there was a complete blackout in town so reluctant to take taxi's home, we decided to walk for a while. While walking we took some selfies.

We walked till our legs hurt 😅 so we still took a taxi finally. Getting home, the lights were back but still there was low voltage so there was still no light in my hostel. So boring.

Getting home we just chatted amongst ourselves till we all dispersed to our various homes. I took my bath, said my night prayer before calling it a day.
