Hello everyone I am very happy to be back on this wonderful platform and I will use this opportunity to share with you how my day went. As you all know few days ago I just came back from kumbo where I went to visit my grandma, so this Monday I together with my family got the news of the lockdown imposed by the separatists fighters on the people of the North West and South West Regions of cameroon which was to start on the 15th of September till the 2nd of October. Immediately after getting this news my mom and I decided that I would have to travel to Yaounde the very next day which was Tuesday the 14th of September, this is because I'm scheduled to write an exam in Yaounde and if the lockdown met me in Bamenda I would miss the exam.

So early in the morning I got up cleaned My things and the house and went straight to the bus station to get a bus ticket for the night journey on reaching there, I met a very long queue, so many people wanted to travel out of Bamenda, some people even came and all the buses for the morning and even night were already full and they were left stranded at the park. I stayed for about an hour and finally it was my turn and I bought my ticket and got a good seat for myself and then returned home.

When I got home, I started packing for my journey, after which I had to put my bedroom in order. After I was done I went to the kitchen and prepared some fried beans, by the time I was done cooking it was already 2pm so I rushed to pick up my kid sister from school. When we got back we ate together and I went and took my bath and prepared for my journey.

By 3:30 pm I was already at the park, when I got to the park I was told that our bus was yet to arrive, the park was super congested, I barely had space to keep my luggage, so it was left in open space and it began to rain, though lightly and I had no choice but let rain fall on my things, we stood up waiting for our bus, we did so till around 6pm when the bus came.

After the bus came we still had to wait for more than an hour for the person in charge of loading the bus to come and when he came he was very arrogant asking very huge sums of of money from passengers to put their luggage in the bus. This caused serious commotion and delayance in loading up thee vehicle and consequently we stayed and left the park very late about past 9pm.

The bus very full, carrying more than its full capacity, instead of 70 passengers it carries almost 100 people with the extra seating along the Isle and others on the staircase, everyone was desperate to travel and didn't mind under which conditions they travelled as long as they reached their destination safely. Our journey was very smooth till around 4am when we had a flat tire while already in yde, this caused us to delay and before we could reach the bus stop it was already rush hour when students, workers and vendors are going and we got stuck in traffic we reached the park at about 8am and from there I went home, took my bath and rested.
