Dairygame: "Attending the burial of our church member who died at the age of 86 years
Greetings from the giant of Africa, happy weekend to all the beautiful Cameroonians and all other steemians around the globe; how's your weekend going, I trust great, mine is great too. I still remain your girl @tripple-e.
Dear dairy,
I want to tell you how my day went today. I woke up feeling a bit tired because of the program we had yesterday in line with the funeral preparation of our church member; yesterday as actually the night of songs that featured other denominations who came to ministered, so we came back pretty late.
So I find it difficult waking up early this morning to prepare for the burial proper. So I was up at 7:45am and the church bus was to depart by 8:30am. Omg! I had to rush and enter the bathroom to brush my teeth and shower, then hurriedly dressed up and left to the bus stop where the bus was stationed; getting there I was disappointed because the first bus had already left upon all my rushing and I didn't even put anything in my mouth then coming to still wait for the second bus to fill up.
While waiting in the bus
Can you imagine that we waited for like 30mins before the bus moved? Aha! I was so vexed in the Sense that I should have eaten. Well finally we were on our way to the venue of the burial which was in another local government area outside my residing city.
We arrived the venue and met the brass band already performing setting up the atmosphere for the funeral service to kick start

After that the church took over and announced that people should filed in for lying in state. On returning from the action I was just reminiscing on the picture of the woman's corpse in my head; how she laid like a piece of wood; a once lively and vibrant woman lying lifelessly, and then I just thank God for the gift of life.
Then the casket was brought and placed outside.
Then the Nigeria police force took over to performed the accoutrements as the deceased was a retired senior officer; a superintendent of police.
The following accoutrements were placed on the casket in honour of the deceased. There were:-
The police cap
A Sword
A pair of shoes and
A Nigerian police flag
After their charade, they marched out and the church took over to conduct the rest of the program

Second bible reading
Choir ministration
Sermon
Prayers for the bereaved family
Announcements
Regimented parade by the Nigeria police force
Prayers at the grace side
Interment
Hymn and
Closing prayers and benediction
And then we were entertained with food and drinks because we were celebrating a life well spent, as such there was no room for long faces
Can you sight the delicious Afang soup; one of our local delicacies mostly prepared in special occasions. I must say the soup was very delicious and believe me I ate to my satisfaction.
After which we called it a day and we returned to our base; reaching home it was already evening o'clock and I just freshen up and hit my bed trying to come up with this post.
And that's how my day went, for it was an eventful one.
Regards
