Hello steaming Steemians, I hope this day meets you well.
Yesterday, we ended with many unanswered questions as to how we are supposed to go about sin and forgiveness. I'm very certain that today we will shatter the minds of religion based persons. So let's get right to it.

In the previous post we noted that it's practically impossible to enter heaven if we base our righteousness on the fact that when we sin we ask for forgiveness. With such a doctrine, no one will make heaven because even at the point of death, most people still sin.

In Christ is where all the secrets of God lies, and when you start thinking out of the "in Christ" zone, you are lost. Satan fears no one except the one in Christ and only when you start seeing yourself as a person in Christ, will you begin to see all the advantages you have in Christ. The book of Corinthians supports this by saying;

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
- 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)

The statement is clear. It says therefore if any man be in Christ, he "is"... and not "will be". This means that, those who say they are in Christ and are still expecting something from God will for ever be working towards that thing. Where then is the "rest" we are supposed to have when being in Christ.

For anyone to be righteous in Gods sight, that person has to be 100% sin-free. We all know that that is impossible. Any one with that doctrine automatically becomes a slave, always anxious, conscious of one sin committed or the other, carries that guilt every hour and every day, goes to the place of prayer with guilt and burdened, spends time enumerating sins and asking for forgiveness as if God did not know them before they came for prayers. Now let me ask you this question; when you enumerate and ask for forgiveness for those sins you are conscious of, what then happens to those you aren't conscious of?

Jesus Christ therefore came so that we may have rest from the work and stress seen above and for us to have eternal life. The only way for life to be, death must first occur.

Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.
- John 12:24 (NIV)

Jesus could not bring us eternal life until He had payed the debt(sin), because its said;

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
- Romans 6:23

So He came, became sin as he asked God to cast the sins on Him. Every troke of the whip, every curse on him, every hate, every piercing of the sword and every pain represents every pain, problems or difficulties we think we might face in life. When He died, was buried, He descended to hell. Why did He have to go to hell? Many Christians recite this in the apostles creed for example, but most do not understand what they are talking about. Christ actually went there to complete the job by wrestling with the devil and collected the keys of death and hell so we will never get there ever.

I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
- Revelation 1:18 (KJV)

With Christ having paid the ultimate price for our sins, and resurrected, He shocked the devil and made a public show of him. Satan no longer can condemn us, for there is nothing he can hold against us since Christ took every thing along with Him. At this point, all we need do to be 100% righteous(without sin or blame), something we couldn't achieve by our selves, is just to BELIEVE (have faith) that Christ died and took away our blames.

We therefore should go to God in prayers boldly "In" the name of Jesus (acknowledging in mind all He went through to set us clean before God) and not in guilt "with" his name. The name of Jesus in it's self has no effect. Any body can call the name, but only when you call it bringing to life in your mind that you are blameless because Christ washed you clean, only then will the name have effect. There is a difference between declaring in the name of Jesus and with the name of Jesus. When the devil sees you coming in His Name and not with his name, he flees and never looks back since he sees a righteous (made just or justified) person, actually he sees God in you. You become Gods righteousness.

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
2 Corinthians 5:21

It is important to understand that man is not righteous by his own merits. Isaiah 64:6 says our righteousness is as filthy rags. The only way we can be righteous is by the righteousness of God.

All we need do at this point knowing we have already and eternally been made righteous, is to believe, praise, worship and glorify God; the original intent of man. This justifies what we said in our Tuesdays posts. God doesn't want any soul to be lost. In effect, in Christ if your good works didn't qualify you, then your bad works cannot disqualify you. Did you get that?

There's nothing we can do by our own works or powers that can make us righteous in the sight God. So we should stop doing things please God. You don't serve God to be saved, but you serve God because you are saved. Equally, it isn't your right living that makes you accepted, but rather, it's your acceptance that makes you live right.

Dear steemians, from this day, when we go to God in prayers, let's go boldly in the name of Jesus christ(not with His name), thanking God, praising Him for His love, compassion and mercies towards us. God created us just to praise and worship and glorify Him and to make known this good news to others. Let no man hold you accountable or unrighteous for any sins because even God doesn't hold you accountable for any; for our righteousness is by grace through faith in Christ. That's actually the "rest" Jesus meant. No need to labour to earn salvation, He already did all the labour.

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
- Matthew 11:28

Thank you for reading dear Steemians. From this day on, may your life be a restful one as you pursue your purpose here on earth. Let your motive at your place of work and daily dealings be to the glory of God. That's only when God is pleased with us.

Today's writeup reminds me of the Hymn Jesus Paid it all. Jesus did it all for us. There's no guilt, nor shame, nor condemnation for those who are in Christ. Hallelujah!

Thank you so much for this reminder. In our society today, many churches have sprung up with doctrines which seem to preach that we can earn salvation through our works. While this ideology is entirely wrong, it seems to be gaining grounds.

@iloveakuma, True bro. Its really gaining grounds. The truth is God will keep using the right minded people to adjust that ideology. The real good news must triumph
