Mountaineers beat Washington Central University in a thrilling Football 🏈 Game

What an incredible day! The weather was perfect ☀️ for the NCAA Playoffs, and we triumphed over Central Washington University with a thrilling 28–21 victory. This was my first football 🏈 game in Gunnison, and Richard Jeffers aka Papa J and Emery Jeffers can confirm that I always bring victory!

The energy from the fans was electric, and it awakened the die-hard WCU supporter in me. I was lucky to be one of the #300Mountaineers to grab a free ticket, thanks to the generosity of Western Colorado University leadership.

Special shoutout to Jen, my classmate from the Clark Family School of Environment and Sustainability who watched the game with me and helped me better understand the nuances of football. My knowledge and passion for the sport have truly grown, and I can’t wait for more games and victories.
