Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 4 - Application For Steem Cameroon Community

Hello fellow steemians and the steemit team.

Today, the Steem Cameroon Community humbly apply for a spot into the Season 4 Steemit Engagement Challenge upon receiving an open invitation from the steemit team, via the @steemitblog's update.

Of course this is our first application into this Challenge, not because we didn't want to apply in he past seasons, rather our administrative personnel took these periods to build up experience and mouth watering portfolios via participating in the challenges regularly and maintaining a good club status respectively. Steem Cameroon Community is more than ready to partake in this Season's Engagement Challenge, we hope to gain the chance to serve the people during this upcoming season.

The Steem Cameroon Community was created in December 2020. Ever since then, it has blossomed over the years with great trending rates. Upon the creation of this application, the Steem Cameroon Community currently has 2,281 subscribers, with 71 active posts.

The purpose of the Steem Cameroon Community is to connect steemians with divest cultures, ideas and knowledge, in a manner that can never be achieved individually. The Steem Cameroon Community aims to unite Cameroonians on a virtual scale within the steemit platform, while connecting them to other steemians from varying countries worldwide. Steem Cameroon hopes to make its community a second home for Cameroonians as they interact with foreigners, making new friends and connections.

As of the time of publication of this application, the Steem Cameroon Community has six (6) pro active Administrative personnel, and are of Cameroonian nationality.

The community's official curation account is @steem-cameroon, and it was created upon the creation of the Steem Cameroon Community. It is used to render support to its members via curation on publications within the community that meet the set by the community in line with the steemit publication rules. The voting CSI is always above 5.0 with 0.00% self vote.

The build up process of the community's curation account rest solely on power up of rewards earned via community publications, and the free will support gotten from the administrative personnel and fellow members within the community, to promote community growth. Such actions involve free will beneficiary allocations as well as free will delegations to add-on to the continuous powered up rewards gotten.
From the onset, the administrative personnel collectively agreed to publish all contests and updates only with the community's official account (@steem-cameroon), so as to obtain maximum transparency as the rewards earned are powered up. We hope to keep publishing more quality posts and use the support gained from the steemit team to keep growing as we intend render support to our dedicated members within the community.

Upon the creation of this application, the curation account (@steem-cameroon) of the Steem Cameroon Community currently has the following details.

All Administrative personnel of the Steem Cameroon Community holds the Private Posting Key of the community's curation account, while its Private Active Key is held by the ADMINS (@fombae and @saxopedia).

The Steem Cameroon Community has established a vibrant and comfortable atmosphere for a, with our quality reviews yielding fruits as they help shape up authors within the community. A screenshot of how our reviews look like shall be displayed below and explanations shall follow suit.

Our review system is divided in 2 sections, the first is for the publication, and the second is for the author's steemit account.

• Verified User:
  We go through the post of new members upon their first publication in our community, and search for their achievement 1 task if it has been verified in the Newcomers' Community. After which, we allocate a label for verified authors, or we call on the author to get verified if found wanting.

• Delegate (@steem-cameroon):
  This category is for acknowledging members who are contributors to community growth.

• Steemexclusive:
  This category evaluates the originality of the publication so as to discourage multi publishing of same content over different sites. For an author to use the tag, it means he/she attests that the post has not been published anywhere else before now.

• Plagiarised Free:
  Here, checker tools (like https://www.duplichecker.com/ or https://smallseotools.com/plagiarism-checker/) are used to thoroughly check the originality of the said publication.

• Club Status:
  Here, tools (like https://steemworld.org/transfer-search or https://www.steemcryptic.me/club5050) are used check to carefully check the author's club status.

• Holding STEEM/SBD:
  We added this category some months back because we realized that some authors tried to twist the rule of club status and cheat the project, by holding rewards in their wallets (neither transferring nor powering up), hereby appearing to have no transfers out and gaining more support than they ought to. With this category, we can detailedly access and determine if authors are saving up to make massive withdraws, or not.

• Bot Free:
  This category deals with the check on whether the author indulges in vote biding or not. Vote buying are prohibited throughout the entire Steemit platform.

• Contest (hashtag):
  Here, the best possible tag for the publication is singled out since some authors get confused and mix it up sometimes.

• Set Beneficial (@null):
  This category shows whether the author's publication supports the burnsteem25 project or not. If there is an allocation of 25% beneficial reward to @null, then the publication supports the project.

• Number words (>250):
  Within the community, all publications are required to exceed the 250 words count during our checks. It is a vital requirement which has now become a part of our members' adaptation to create quality publications.

For the second part of our review (Account Review), we have the following categories

• Voting CSI:
  This is displayed because most authors neglect the aspect of supporting others. As such, seeing their details here helps us remind them every time we make a review.

• Voting Manna:
  Some authors forget to keep tabs on their voting manna refill, so we use this category to remind them by displaying their current voting manna %.

• Blog/Account Review:
  Here is where a brief summary is given by the administrative personnel. It usually comprises of advice, cautions, suggestions, a response to the publication, or/and a drop of the links to vital post updates released by the community.

• Date:
  This refers to the date upon the time of verification.

• Time:
  This refers to the time upon verification (usually displayed as UTC+1)

We have been doing a lot to help our members create quality posts. Some of these actions taken are as follows:

• Publications for awareness:
  We have made sure to create awareness via publishing educative contents with respect to the steemit rules which are neglected day in day out, mainly due to ignorance. The most recent publications on awareness can be looked up here and here.

• Minimum Word count of 250:
  There is the compulsory requirement of at least 250 word counts on every publication, before it is qualified for any form of support.

• Encouraging members to continue their achievement tasks:
  Once the markdown usage in a publication is below average, the author is requested to go back to the Newcomers' Community and gain some markdown skills, or a link to a markdown oriented publication within the community is suggested for him/her.

• Creation of multi contests weekly:
  The Steem Cameroon Community makes sure to create contests to help improve the quality of our members' posts as they compete for lucrative prices.

• Continuous cautions:
  During reviews, the administrative body of the Steem Cameroon Community relentlessly cautions authors who still create low quality publications.

• Possible Sanctions:
  Within every community, there must be perpetual defaulters. For those who continue to repeat same mistakes during publications, it is considered that they do not read the reviews dropped for them, and as such, their low quality publications are muted after a series of cautions. This eventually draws their attention.

• Render individual help:
  Unlike some authors who are adamant to embrace change for the better, some better steemians are striving to become the best. We have cases wherein members would corner some administrative personnel in the comment section of their private publication, and ask them for the markdowns used in the publication.

• Both the Steem Cameroon Community's team and members have patiently geared up over the last months for a moment like this.

• The Steem Cameroon Community presently has 2000+ subscribers with an average of at least 66 active posts weekly.

• We have developed a conducive atmosphere filled with authors of great quality.

• The administrative team make sure to check publications every single day, and good quality posts gain support from our official curation account, @steem-cameroon.

• The administrative team comprises of club100 members, as such we support the steem growth project of Steemit.

• Great improvements have evolved from members from the creatiin date till present date.

• The administrators are more than willing to grow on the steemit platform.

• Steem Cameroon Community is the favorite of many authors.
