Steem Cameroon Plagiarism Report
Plagiarism Report
Steem greetings to all, plagiarism on steemit is not tolerated by the steemit team and we at steem-Cameroon frown at plagiarism. The reason why the community created a plagiarism team, is to make sure that content creators create 100% unique content. For all content curated by the Steem Cameroon Community Account, a plagiarism test is run on the content before curating.
Sadly, we noticed that authors are in a rush to create content every day, which has resulted in some authors trying to paraphrase articles off the internet and posting without testing if it’s 100% unique, and without sources or references.
During this week, a total of 44 accounts were reviewed by the plagiarism team and the following was observed:
- We observed that after we commented on plagiarised content, the users edited the content.
- We noticed the use of images that were not copyright-free among some users.
- There was a minimal number of plagiarised content, which indicates that users are adapting to the rules.
Nevertheless, we recommend that users should endeavor to cross-check content several times before posting.
Users should stop editing their posts after a plagiarised comment is made on the post, but endeavor to add references. This is because you do not edit what has been recorded on the blockchain.
From this day, any content that is not 100% unique will be muted without any warning. This is because of those who edit the content after a comment was made that the post was plagiarised.
Users should use Google lens to check the originality of images.
We encourage users to use the following links to check plagiarism.
