[#CLUB75] Meeting the gynecologist and finding out about my medical issue (In need of support)
Hello everyone. I hope we are all doing fine. Well, I could be better but we thank God still.
Back story
Three weeks ago, I made my first visit to the hospital to see the gynecologist. But because he's the only available gynecologist in the hospital, it is quite difficult to get an audience with him. So the first day, I was given a booking and asked to come back the next week.
The following week on Friday, I was back in the hospital. I was still not able to see him but after pleading my issue (because I was not feeling fine at all), I was sent for consultation with a general practitioner. The doctor consulted me and sent me to the Imagery center to perform a pelvic ultrasound.
After bringing the results to him, it was discovered that I had an endometrial polyp. So, I was asked to come the following week to see the specialist for treatment .
The next week, on Wednesday, I went to the hospital. And despite the many surgeries scheduled, the gynecologist decided to see 20 people. As God will have it, I was number 20.
So I waited patiently in the hospital for him to see me. I finally got an audience with him at about 5 pm. So you can imagine my state. He consulted me, looked at my results and told me where you go from.
Results
I was diagnosed with dysfunctional uterine bleeding which had made me anaemic. So my extreme tiredness and likelihood to faint at any time was not just because of stress as I had formally thought.
I was also told that the polyp will have to be removed in a surgical procedure to stop me from bleeding to death. In the mean time, I was prescribed an iron supplement and a drug to reduce or stop bleeding.
Costs
Going to the hospital has not been easy for the cost of the different tests.
Reason | Cost in steem | Amount paid |
---|---|---|
Imaging | 36 steem | 36 steem |
Blood tests | 34 Steem | 34 steem |
Consultation fees | 22 Steem | 22 steem |
Prescribed drugs | 63 Steem | 37 steem |
Removal procedure | 222 Steem | 0 steem |
Total | 377 steem | 129 |
Out of 377 Steem needed, I have been able to pay 129 Steem. I am still in need of 248 steem in order to complete everything that is needed and undergo the procedure.
In need of support
I am finding it difficult to get all the funds needed. So I want to plead with all those capable and willing to help support me in resolving my medical issue. For as they say, health is wealth.
I plead on support from @steemcurator01, @steemcurator02, @steem-cameroon and other good hearted steemians to please come to my aid.

So sorry about your illness dear. The most important thing is that the illness has been diagnosed. God will provide the needed fund. Please get well soon
Thank you for the well wishes @ngoenyi. I am really grateful that I know what is wrong and how to fix it. Uncertainty and fear is the worst thing ever. I am now resting in God's hands🙏.
It's quiet unfortunate dear.
Most times we shy away from medical check ups and assume what we feel however, thank God for early dictation.
Wish you quick recovery
I wish everyone was sensitized about check ups because it can save your life.
Thank you for the well wishes.
You're welcome
Reading your story made me sad but thank God for the courage you spoke out. A problem once shared is a problem half solved. God will see you through!
Will keep you in my prayers 🙏
When I think of my situation, one thing that keeps ringing is I'm too young to have such an issue. But so is life.
The prayers are much appreciated. Thank you🙏.
It is well Dr
The gynaecologist is very good at what he does. He had performed a casearian section on me 6months ago and it went out successful. He's a good gynaecologist and I'm sure you just will be fine after being supported with the necessary finances you need🙏
Hearing this gives me some sort of peace of mind. Thanks a lot😊
