STEEM CAMEROON BEST DAY CONTEST: 22/02/2022

Hello steemit friends and welcome to my best day of the week contest. The whole of last week was a very busy one but Saturday the 19th of February 2022 happens to be the best of all the week days. IT WAS MY CORONATION DAY AS A SUCCESSOR TO MY FATHER.

I got up this day very tired due to the activities of the previous day which was a Friday marked by preparation to the coronation ceremony. I got up from bed as early as 5am to put a few things together since we were to have a long journey to the village. By 7am, the taxi I hired arrived and we parked in what we needed in the village.

By 7.30am, we took off immediately and it was not easy to to ply the raod from Bamenda to Santa. The dusty nature of the raods really delayed our journey as the driver could barely see incoming vehicles. The roads in the village were more convenient for us as compared to the town roads. They are not tarred but smooth with little or no potholes. Thank God we arrived the village tired but safe.

By midday, the ocasion started proper and everything was going smoothly. The eldest man in the family did the introduction and later on commenced with the coronation proper. I was introduced to the villagers as someone of a changed status.

Actually there are people who envy such titles but for me, it's a double responsibility. There's nothing there but stress in managing your home and the entire family as well. You now carry extra duties apart from yours. Well if your family members especially your fathers and uncles choose you to handle such a responsibility, then you need to accept and pray for God to give you that wisdom to sail through.

Everything was snappy as we still had to travel back to Bamenda that same day. It was done and after refreshment, we all hurriedly took our respective vehicles to town. By 6pm everybody was home thanks to God Almighty.
