My Dairy Game: How My Saturday Went (15/2/2025)
Happy weekend my dear steemians from this great community. I hope you enjoyed your valentine yesterday to the fullest. I am great here from Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria. I write to tell you a story of how my Saturday went. Although it was fun-filled, the hectic nature of keeping house clean wasn't palatable. Stay with me.
In the morning
My sleep was cut short with a shout from a nearby neighbor in my compound, alerting the inhabitants that he was robbed by thieves. This was around 4am. Immediately i woke up. I couldn't sleep again, thinking the criminals were going house to house to rob. I stayed awake till 6am when I said my prayers before i started my activities for the day. I had planned my day of what to do the previous day.
My main target of activity was to do sanitation in the house. I had to clean my room, kitchen and toilet. so I woke up first to wash some of my children clothes that were dirty because I didn't have chance to wash them within the week. It took some time to finish laundry which was paramount since they will have to wear some of them to church on Sunday and to school for the upper week. I had to take time to scrub them well with detergent and stain removal.
Immediately after washing, I paused to take fruits: cucumber and pawpaw, my favourite fruits, while waiting for the main food that would come later. I cannot separate fruits from my daily meal because of the importance of fruits to health.
I had to relax a little, preparing for the remaining chores.
In the afternoon
By noon, the cleaning took me to the toilet room. It was here that much work had to be done. I haven't washed my toilet for about three weeks as against daily exercise. This was due to the nature of my work. It took me about two hours to wash and scrub the toilet floor and the bowl to the taste i wanted.
It was a difficult tast but I surmounted it and gave my toilet room, a fresh look. Here, I was exhausted and had to relax. I then refreshed myself in a refreshed toilet before I could relax.
I didn't want to take carry over the weekend work into a new week. I had brought test scripts my students took on Friday back home for marking. So I summed up courage when I woke up to mark them so I could be relieved on Monday. About thirty-seven students took my literature test.

This activity lasted till 5pm.
In the evening
As if I knew I would have a visitor, my friend, Isaac came visiting. Isaac is my childhood friend who lives not too far from me. We sat together and discussed a lot of issues, ranging from religion to politics. When he was leaving, I accompanied him back and left him on the way.
I came back to unhanged my children's clothes I washed in the morning. It was already 7.45pm.
After eating Afang soup for my supper, I rested in bed till I was carried away by sleep. That was how my Saturday's activities went. Though it was a hectic day, at least I had achieved one or two things for myself.
