STEEM Cameroon contest vol 10:things I do to mitigate climate change in my community 02/10/2021

Hello beautiful people of steemit Cameroon@nuahfabian I first of thanks @thgreens for the privilege to take part in this contest about climate change .in my response to this contest there are two things that I did to mitigate climate change in my community which are two in numbers .

Firstly I engaged my community on organic farming to mitigate climate change, organic farming which is the cultivation of crops or vegetable without the use of synthetic and peticide,but do you know organic farming can help mitigate climate change?as well as helping farmers to adapt to changing climatic condition organic agriculture can help tackle climate change by reducing green gas house emissions,there is a direct correlation between nitrous oxide emissions and the amount of nitrogen fetilizer applied to agricultural land, organic farming doesn't allowed the use of synthetic'nitrogen fetilizer focusing instead on establishing closed nutrients cycles minimising losses via runoff .

.In the bit to work by example I have been working with some (CIG) common initiative group and njanji house in the neighbor Hood of my community where I creat their awareness about climate change the solution and it consequences I encourage them to practice more of organic farm over convesional farming I visited this group during their meeting days I sentize them about such hazard . I also educate them on composed manure how to carry out this composed it advantage over synthetic farming , through this common initiative group these women were group where some specie's where donated and planted to create some backyard gardens for this women free of charge without any payment for it we encourage them and empower them economically .

Secondly tree planting which is mostly the goal of my organisation. Which vision is to plan 10,000 trees for the year 2021_2022

in this section is my hubbies to make my environment Greener always as trees grows they help absorb and sink the carbon that would otherwise contribute to global heating, trees use sunlight energy to do photosynthesis a process that planting trees will help to enrich wildlife and biodiversity while reducing water pollution soil degration with all this importance of planting trees I have been part of tree planting caravan from the start of this year we have engaged In planting trees in various institution such as bamenda escampment hill sissa two.and menteh water catshment area which.

Which we use the initiative also to creat awarnes to the population on climate change the consequence of climate change with the population. Educating the population on the importance of tree planting in their community the where thought on how to plan this tree and the time to plan them
At the end the following

environmental trees were planted in the areas located we have accacia callindra,exmiristix,manhogany ,jakahandra,rural. Plams to name a few which this environmental water friendly trees help to increase the water volume and density in the water catshment area at the end the population was though to avoid the planting of trees that are not water friendly trees such euclaytuse which was not good for the water catshment area they should encourage re-afforatation by all costs from the start of this year we have planted close to 3000 trees in these verious areas mention above which it will go a long way to mitigate climate change
