If you've been following me for a while, you already know that Football is a very huge part of my life. I love it, I watch it, I talk it, I play it, I live it. You also probably already know that in the most famous football rivaly in the world, I am a Cristian Ronaldo man 😊😊😊... My First team is Real Madrid #halaMadrid and my second team is Chelsea #weTheBlues.

This Saturday 28th of May 2022... my Alumni association from GBHS Bamenda popularly known as CHOPPERS decided to host the alumni association of students from PSS Mankon, PEMEXANS for the return game of a match played around June of last year. This was a high stakes game as PEMEXANs beat us during that Home game and so we needed to beat them this time around at all cost.

I woke up that day around 3AM as usual and spent the rest of the morning scrolling through social media and chatting with friends while lying there in bed trying to get as much rest as my body needed ahead of this match. Around 6AM... I got up, prepped myself and then left for the office where I spent the first few hours of the day playing PES20 with my colleague @fombae. Then by 11AM, my other colleague Buri and I left for the Futru field where our game was to be played.

By 12:30, the match which was already ongoing when we got to the field finally came to an end and so the pitch was liberated for us.

The game started off in great footing... we were pressing, and pushing the guys to their limits... unfortunately, we were not converting... I was playing as a second striker (10 shirt) that day instead of my usual Centre Forward (9shirt) position and as the gods of football will have it... bam! they scored us... and bam! they scored us again 😭😭😭

So not long into the second half, we were 2 goals down. But as determined as we were about this game, we kept pushing on and before you know it, we had equalized both goals and then scored a third. We were not leading 4 - 2.

As the legendary Coach Song Bahanac once said, quand tu ne sais pas que tu est en danger, c'est quand tu est en danger... 🤣🤣🤣 Before we knew it, @thegreens who had been playing so excellently as our Defensive Midfielder scored an own goal... bring the tame to 4 - 3 still in our favour. We then started joking, our coach subbed off some of us and put in some of our 5 minutes only players into the pitch... and then the worst happened. 2 minutes to the end of time, the PEMEXANs scored the last game to equal the game at 4 - 4 😭😭😭

Right after the game, we headed over to Hot and Tasty which we've dubbed GB Bar for post match enjoyment and camaraderie. during the enjoyments, I was named Man of the Match and given my usual #veteran award of 1 bottle of beer 🤣🤣🤣

After a couple house and over 15 crates of beer devoured, we all separated and most of us moved down to #Dreamland where we joined the rest of town to watch the Champions League final. (Yes I said the whole of Bamenda because we barely even had a place to sit when we got there.)

After winning the champions league 🏆, we stayed back and enjoyed the ambiance for a few more hours until around past midnight when we retired and hurried home.

All in All, it was an amazing day.

Rendezvous in about 2 weeks when we return for another game, this time around, our Entrepreneurs FC team will be playing the Farmers FC team.
