Grasshopper (muquin) a source of lively hood to the people of Bamenda by @nanc 7/12/2021

Greetings to my fellow steemians hope everyone is doing great, today I bring to you another session of my diary which will be focus on grasshopper (muquin)as a source of lively hood to the people of Bamenda.
To begin, grasshopper which is popularly know as muguin is am important source of lively hood because through this many parents are able to put food on their table, it has help many parents to pay fees for their children, it has provided job to many and a source or income. And serve as food to many especially bambili students 😂😂😂😂😂 .
One of its disadvantage is that it's seasonal so people only get to benefit from it when their seasons approach. Muguin is consumed both home and abroad due to this factor it has become very expressive in such a way that a pocket is sold for 12000frs. People are making money alot of from muguin,

Inorder for people to have a great harvest on muquin, a small house is being constructed as seen below

What mostly attract the grasshopper is the light a particular Bob which is being use and when u look directly to it can destroy ur eyes. Zin is being placed in such a way that when the grasshopper came it falls on the zinc and fall inside big drums.
During this process many people are being attracted to pick the once falling out of the drum and they either use for home consumption or for retailing. When all this is being done, the next day the grasshopper needs to be careful selected because during the process of catching it also attracted many other inserts that are following the light.
