Beginning the 16 days of activism to end Gender Based violence

Hello dear steemit family good day.
In order to mark the 16 days of activism to fight against gender based violence ,the Community Agriculture and Environmental Protection Association Cameroon , today convened a dailogue meeting bringing together stake holders holders to discuss on the need to provide more avenues that foster the fight against Gender Based Violence.
During this meeting that saw the attendance of the legal minds,heads of services and representatives of civil society organisations, different ideologues were shared about Gender based violence. With the presence of the legal minds ,the judge made it clear that women and girls, who often face the different forms of Violence on a greater scale because they are women ,should make an effort to understand their basic human rights.

The various stake holders present

Having other organisations contribute, they made it clear that there is availability of information at the disposal of women and girls who are the most vulnerable in facing gender based violence. The stake holders encouraged, the civil society organisations present to educate the people back at their spaces ,of the available resources and avenues available for victims,and survivors.

Rape and intimate partner violence were identified as some of the most common forms of violence recorded on a frequent basis in the Bamenda city.The available safe spaces were shared and those who were not yet recognised
through their activities were asked to join with their contributing activities and be recorded in the referral parthways booklets,so that they can be recommended to render services to survivors.as the need arises. Thanks for reading.
