Finding Your Home!
Greetings from Bamenda City to all you wonderful Steemians! I hope everyone is doing well today.
They say there are two main ways to learn in life: one, from our own experiences, and two, from the experiences of others. I've also found that no matter how someone looks, sounds, or behaves, no matter what they have or lack, they still have experiences. This means we can learn from everyone we encounter in life.
I want to share what I've learned from my experiences and those of others about how to live a good life. I hope you find this valuable:
- Pray and be grateful, always!
- Find your passion and ignite it! This is something that can make you go the extra mile, just for the feeling of fulfillment it brings.
- Learn how to do it well. Aim to be the best you can be at it. Take classes and get the necessary training to become fantastic at what you do. Give yourself time and keep putting in the work. Don't worry about results at the very beginning of your journey. When you're good enough, the world will take notice. Until then, keep grinding! ✊✊
- Value everyone you meet.
- Find a job or source of income that allows you enough time to pursue your career or dream. This is essential.
Hard times are inevitable. They come for everyone, no matter what we do. They can happen even if you're not actively pursuing something.
Things will be tough and challenging most of the time. There will be setbacks. But no matter how long it lasts, dawn will always follow dusk.
If you haven't found your passion yet, keep looking. You will find it someday.
I remember before I discovered my passion for speaking, I did many things. I worked as a salesperson for some Chinese businessmen in Douala, at Les Brasseries du Cameroun, for a Nigerian building materials company, for a couple of affiliate marketing companies, managed a snack bar, and even tried music. But when I kept looking and finally found my love for speaking, I knew instantly that this was it. It felt right, and I find so much joy in doing it. I'm still working on becoming the best speaker I can be.
