Introduction

Today started as a brilliant day and I know you guys spent it wisely too.

Recently, the economic situation of my country has sent signals to my memory where I'm taking a faster step and grasp to agriculture my identity. Oh yes! Of course you heard me well, I grew up doing agriculture though mixed farming which was mostly for family consumption and leftovers was sold to get what we did cultivate.

I worked in some agricultural centers like IRAD for few years during the holidays as this helped me cater for my educational needs.
So my dear steemians, I'm a full farm breed girl and definitely will be cultivating almost everything that I know it can be beneficiary to me and my house hood.

So this time around, I'm going to share with you'll how I farmed today. Prior to this day, I had harvested the corn I planted on this farm but I'm sorry I didn't write a post to show you'll how my harvest was bountiful. After harvesting, my eldest son and I made new ridges and I planted this sweet potatoes plant and beans on the newly formed ridges.

After covering the potatoes leaves on the ridges, I stopped by to admire this ridge I cultivated a month ago. Look at how fresh the leaves are glowing and soon I'm going to add some more ground to it.

Afternoon

After I got back from the farm, I took my bathed and rested, not fully rested ohh😀. A friend of mine came waking me up that she needed my help to help her season her chicken the traditional way kharti kharti as we normally do it with fufu corn , vegetable and kharti kharti. She's not from any of the villages in my region whose traditional meal is fufu corn so I went. Her kids had already, peeled off the fowl so I just grilled and chopped into bigger sizes because it was for a meeting. I then simmer and seasoned with salt, paper, palm oil ,scent leaf and a cube of Maggie. I was done before I realized that I hadn't taken a picture of it, so I just took this.

In Africa, you can't go cooking somewhere and leave without eating 😀 so I was asked to dish out some food and I ate and as the meeting was commencing, I exited.

Evening

My husband had already made okra and cassava fufu, so I stayed a little bit and ate again. Oh yes! I know someone will be wondering how often I eat but Don forget the fact that lactating mother's need to eat healthy.

Conclusion

You may love planting some spices or even making a flower bed but not having space where you live, really never give up as you can always improvise to place ground in tires to cultivate that dream garden of yours. You'll know you're highly welcome during mulching and harvesting but remember the duo are correlated 😀.
