Wedding guest... My diary game. Steem for better life

Greetings to everyone on this platform, hope y'all doing great.

It was special and a colourful Sunday as my brother has been dating for so many years, finally got married. I woke up,brushed my teeth and took my bath, ion my clothes and got ready for the ceremony.

Islamically, Up here in the Northern part of Ghana, Families of the bride and the groom are mandated to meet in the mosque with elders and the mallams to tie the knot and to evidently confirm that the dowry (sadaki) has been paid by the groom before they can give out the bride to the groom for the engagement.

When all these neccesary things are confirmed, a sermon is given by the mallam and the knot is tied by some recitations from the Holy Quran and elders from both families will then advice the marriage couples as to how to live peacefully and how to make the marriage a fruitful one.

After all these protocols are observed in the mosque, Families of the groom and the bride return back to home for the party to commence.
We had lots of fun as they was a loud sound of music at home, lots of food and drinks and people invited from both families jamming to the tunes and some others taking pictures with the groom as the same thing was happening at the brides home.

The ceremony was filled with happy tears and joy as the couple exchange their vows

After all the fun and happy moments at the grooms house ,it was time for us to visit the bride at her house.
We all headed to the reception where there was delicious food, music and dancing. My brother and her wife shared their first dance as husband and wife and it was a wonderful moment and a memorable one.

For the first time, I saw my brother kissed a woman and I could see was happiness and laughter all over the place .
My weekend was awesome.
