Nuku Studio Art Fair....My diary game 31/12/2022
I send greetings to y'all, As the year is coming to an end and I'm hoping we have great years to come going forward.
My day has been a great one.Earlier this morning, I participated in the Nuku art fair that was held today in Tamale 31/12/2022 which seeks to showcasing works of Four Tamale based artist, Prince Nii Okai Attah, Rahinatu Mohammed,Yakubu Abdul Wasiu and Abdul Haq Mahama.
Prince Nii Okai Attah work "House to Home" explores what makes a house a home. A house can just be a building but the value of a home is dependent on the industrious ability of the people living in it.
His works showcases the strength and the ability of an African woman. Their ability to turn a house into a home and the evolution of African homes.
Rahinatu Mohammed collection "Harmattan Wave" on eco friendly fashion, Creating pieces for every season, the dry, cold ,windy and sometimes warm harmattan asks us to combine elements of ease and comfort into creating beautiful pieces that embodies the spirit of harmattan and fashion.
Yakubu Abdul Wasiu " I have a dream " chronicles life from the moment of birth and so it looks like urbanization and the infinity we create whiles pursuing our dreams.
Abdul Haqq Mahama "Blues from the sun and the Poetics of water" is an artistic examination of the relationship with water.
His works seeks to engage discussions on certain social dynamics of water ,who owns water?, who goes to look for water when it's scarce ? How is the changes in climate affects the availability of water and the interesting part of the images displays is that when you typically look at it, it sparks discussions .
Above all, we have had other games that was went on as the display was going on... Games like monopoly and the rest with music and dance all over the place .
I had a great day.... Thanks so much for reading.
