I like to write on a New year celebration in a contemporary society.
I welcome all Steemians into 2024.
INTRODUCTION OF NEW YEAR CELEBRATION
In my own point of view,new year celebration in many countries of the world, is an important is an important Occasion that people are seriously interested about., Before the 1st day of every year , there's what they call New Year's Eve which is celebrated with dancing, eating, drinking, and watching or lighting fireworks. Some Christians attend Cross Over night or some call it .
This watchnight service celebrations generally go on past midnight into New Year's first day of January.

CROSS OVER NIGHT
In a Contemporary Society, every night of 31 December is being observed as cross over night or watchnight which Christians all over the are gathering to thank God for the journey so far from January till 31th December of every year, They will stay and dance, worship and rejoice with each other until they cross over to an other year which is what a lot of people do here in this part of the world Nigeria.

The following morning of 1 January, people in many society all over the world will celebrate the beginning of a new year , just like people where celebrting it all over the world.
People will be tarry and watching the wall clock when it is will be dot 12am for them to wish friends and love happy new.
THE CELEBRATION
Base on this fact, a lot of people do celebrate the 1st day of the year in different perspective and Culture with regards to their traditions, some set parties, some dancing competition, New year get - together with the their parents, relatives, Community, friends and love ones.
It normally a joyous day celebration whereby they will exchange gifts and shared things with each other showing love they have for themselves.
