The Diary Game // A Busy but Fruitful Day [30:12:2024].
Steem greetings from my mother land Nigeria to all my wonderful Steemians colleagues. I believe God has been protecting and providing for each and every one of you. I extend the love that comes with yuletide to you all.
30th December, 2024 was another memorable day for me, my printing and photography business is going viral and to a higher level.
Though it was a kind of painful exit but I was happy that Mr. Kennedy John Essien, A young guy who lives in Luxembourg City, Europe called me last month. He said his friend in Nigeria gave him my contact and recommended me for the printing of his late father's burial programme.
We negotiated on phone and he gave me both the printing job and the photo coverage of the burial event. He carefully urged me to do a nice job as he will only fly to Nigeria a night to the burial because of his nature of work in Europe. I assured him of giving the best and asked him to send all the necessary requirements and information needed for the burial programme which he did. He was happy and satisfied with my job and I was delighted for the newly established connection with Mr. Kennedy.
HOW THE DAY WENT
Early in the morning, after morning devotion and cleaning, I went to barber shop to barb my hair, came back home and took my bath and drank tea with bread then left the house to my office.
I was to deliver the burial programme on that morning since Mr. Kennedy landed late at night before the burial day. By 7am I was already in my office, I gave my workers the programme to deliver to Mr. Kennedy while I was checking my camera and other equipments to be sure everything was working perfectly.
By 10am, the corpse left University of Uyo Teaching Hospital to the deceased compound where lying in state was conducted before taking to St. Philip's Catholic Church, Use Offot, Uyo where the funeral service was conducted. I was busy discharging my official duties diligently.
By 2pm, Part one which was the funeral service was done with and the corpse was matched to the grave site at Uyo Township Cemetery. Mass servants took the lead, followed by church congregation and sympathisers. Everybody was dancing to the tunes of Real Brass Band who entertained with calm and soft music. The undertakers were dancing with the casket, their show of displaying different styles of dancing steps added more beauty to the funeral event. It was a colourful moment.
Since I was done with the major part of the funeral event, I handed over the cameras to my Media Team to go and complete the photo shoots at the cemetery while I went back to my office and continued with the church stickers and flex banners design and printing work that will be used today in crossover night. I was done with the printing and closed from office by 7:10pm.
On my way back from delivering the flex banners and stickers to the church that gave me the job, I saw my good friend and a steemian colleague, @uyaiuyo in her shop that is close to the church. She was happy to have me, we spent time together and she entertained me with pawpaw and banana fruits.
When I left @uyaiuyo, it was late. Since my family had travelled for Christmas break, house would be boring so, I branched Clemento Launch and Bar and calmed myself with some bottles of liquor and Peppersoup before I went back home and rested for the day.
It was nice having you around my good friend.
