The Dairy Game :16:08:2021: It’s Ghost town

Greetings to all the great minds of this awesome platform. It’s the beginning of a new week and we have God to thank for seeing us through last week. I wish to participate in the dairy game by sharing my dairy session of Monday 16/8/2021 with you all.
I woke up on this day at 5:30am in order to prepare my self for divine office and morning mass which my choir had to lead. I had my bath and got dressed for mass and i got to church abit late at about 6:39am when morning mass had started already. The readings for the day were being read and so the main doors of the church were locked meaning we had to wait outside for a while for the readings to be over

As soon as it was over, the doors were opened and we took our seats inside the church and followed the rest of the liturgy. It was a week day mass and it usually doesn’t take long as compared to Sunday masses so by 8:am, mass was over. My choristers and i went outside to decide on a suitable venue to use for our choir practice session that had to begin by 10:am, in the course of our discussions, we took some selfies and group photos

When we were done with our photos, i left them to greet the priest who had celebrated the mass, he happens to be my friend as well. We discussed on some issues i had doubts in while taking a walk round the church premise.
Father always cracks me up most times with his unending jokes that always gets me laughing all through. We ended up talking a few selfies also and i left him after that to meet up with my other choristers so that we could proceed with choir practice in one of the primary school classrooms as we had decided earlier on

Practice finally started at about 11:am with a word of prayer led by the music director as usual but it appears he wasn’t feeling too well and so i we only rehearsed two songs and that was it for the day.
I finally left the church premise arround 12 and stopped at a friend’s place at ndamukong to give something. I decided to trek to the place considering how risky taking a bike on ghost town days can be sometimes

I took a picture on my way there to show the nature of the road as seen above, places were unusually quiet and only the sound of birds and a few persons walking on foot could be heard.
By 2pm i was back home and i was told my mum had left for the farm, she came back by 3pm with fresh corn and of course I hurriedly boiled some in the firewood kitchen outside so that we could eat . When i was done, i shared some with the neighbors arround and we equally ate some

At about 5:pm, i left the house for our usual gospel sharing that holds every mondays, it was the turn of one of our former tenants to host the sharing, she stays not far from us so it took me two minutes to get to her place and i was the first person when i arrived there. I waited for about ten minutes for the other members who came in subsequently and we proceeded with the sharing and our gospel text was taken from the book of Luke 6:60-69, wherein Jesus explained to the disciples the importance of believing in the word of the lord because it carries the message of eternal life. Sharing ended by 6pm and we had our cards marked after which i went back home. That is how my day was spent.
