The dairy game: 15:08:2021/Feast of Assumption

Hello Steem Cameroon family and happy feast of our lady to everyone in the house. Yesterday Sunday 15/08/2021 was a very special day especially for us catholics as we celebrated the Blessed virgin Mary,s assumption into heaven.
Being a feast day as such, i had to be up as early as 6:am, in order to prepare the kids for second mass at the Bayelle main mission, that had to begin at 8:30am, we had to be early in order to secure a good seat in church considering the fact that it was a big day and the church is always so populated on such days. I bath and dressed them while my cousin gave them food afterwards and while they were eating, i went into the bathroom and had a warm bath and dressed up as well thereafter, we were now set to go so we took a few pictures in front of our gate outside and left for mass

We left for church and got there just when first mass had ended, we went in and took our seats, few minutes after that mass started with the entrance procession being led by some 200 children who had to receive their first holy communion in the course of the mass, they were all nicely dressed in white while the cadet of Mary led the singing of the liturgy since the day doubled as their feast day too, they were dressed in their beautiful cadet uniform and they sang so well.

The priest further made the mass so amazing with the wonderful sermon he gave, he emphasized that Mary’s assumption into heaven reassures us of three main things; the first being that heaven is real, the second being that we must die before going to heaven and the third is that we can’t make it to heaven if we do not die in a state of grace. He further added that when Mary died, she had a new life because she died in a state of grace and when she went up to heaven, she was given a crown of 12 stars, the 12 stars are a symbol of the 12 tribes of Israel which means she was made the mother of all nations . 12 is a very significant number as Jesus himself had 12 apostles. We are therefore called upon to copy the good virtues of Mary such as humility. Mass ended around 12pm and we went back home.
When we got home, i quickly baked some pies for a client and just when i finished, i went into my room to rest for a while so that i could go for a friend’s son baptism at upstation, i later on woke up at about 2:30pm but i was unable to leave the house due to the heavy rains so i ended up sleeping again

At about 5:pm, the rain stopped but it was already late for me to go to upstation so i went for another baptism in the quarter which i was invited for and although i was late, am glad i still met some people there and in fact, i got there just when the newly baptized was about cutting his cake after receiving warm words of encouragement from his god father and god mother.

I left from there at about 7pm and went back to the house . When i got home, i had my bath and retired to my room. That is how my day was spent
