Greetings good people of this incredible platform. I hope we are all doing fine and staying safe during this difficult period especially for those of us presently in Bamenda as things are becoming very difficult with the increase in prices of almost all foodstuffs which is being caused by the blockage of most of the roads like that of Kom, Ndop, Banso, Bali etc . Let’s continue to be strong and stay safe while hoping that things get better in the days ahead.
I woke up yesterday at about 6:30am and called my family members for morning devotion in the parlor that lasted for about 40 minutes led by my mum after which we all went outside to begin with our various chores for the day. I went into the kitchen to prepare breakfast, mum had already told me she would love to eat puff puff and pap so i fried it for her to have for breakfast accompanied by fresh corn pap

When i finished and served everyone, i had my bath and went into my room to work on some masters thesis that had been sent for me to proof read and edit, the work took me quite a lot of time as i had to go through all the pages properly and correct where there were errors. I finished correcting the first two at about 2pm and by this time, i was already very hungry, good enough i had prepared fresh corn chaff the previous day so i only needed to warm it and eat which i did and it was tasteful just as it was the same day i prepared it.
After i had finished eating my food, I felt dizzy and needed to rest for a while and so i slept for about an hour and woke up at about 4pm with the help of my alarm that I had set. When i woke up and took my phone to reply to some messages i had, i realized a meeting was going on on our class forum regarding our up coming annual AGM in limbe next weekend. So i joined and we all gave in our contributions on how we intend to go about it especially with the lodging and feeding. When the meeting ended i continued with my work

I kept on correcting for about an hour and after which i went into the kids room to spend sometime with them as usual. When they saw me at their door, they pulled me close to the bed where we played for the rest of the evening until it was time to pray and go to bed. That is how my day went

These days are particularly hard with this virus and its consequences. I am very happy to read people from other cultures (I am Venezuelan) and learn from their customs and experiences. The food in the first picture looks delicious, it looks like something we cook in my country called Buñuelos. They are made with yucca dough, sugar, egg and cheese and then fried.

Thanks for showing us a little bit of you and your country. I loved reading you and that last picture with your baby, is a beauty, they look great. A hug from Venezuela.
