The Diary Game - 26/12/2022

Today was really a special day not only to me but to everyone around the world and in the steemit platform. Right back from the holiday yesterday we got back to market to make Sales to cover our loss on Christmas day. And the market day happened to fall on that Sunday on Christmas day, but unfortunately, we couldn’t go the market that day because of the festive holiday. So today was our day to get back on track.

A lot of traders from the villages came in with their bags of rice for sale wholesale and part sales, early in the morning as early as 7am the market was already buzzing with traders all around. And buyers or customers were also in already at that time, looking to get the best ones before it gets way crowded than it is in the afternoon. The time the market is very active and swarming with people from all around the country.

The price of rice hasn’t reduced yet as we thought it would, and it hadn’t increased to thank goodness. More rice that coms into the market means that harvests from the farms have been good, and they will certainly need to make back their investments and also get some profits in order to be able to farm next year. The women were as strict as ever on the prices of the rice, no chance to even bargain to get them to reduce it even a bit. All of them complained about the same thing, the cost of transporting their goods from their towns to Tamale, I don’t blame them much. The transportation fees in the country have been going up every single day, and paying for that much goods will certainly be very expensive.

It wasn’t until 11am that I could get a good price and good quality to buy from, I bought a half bag of rice and then it was time to leave the market and end the day.
