The Diary Game (27-2-2015): A Fun Day at Work

Dear ladies and gentlemen, yesterday was a fun day and I'm glad to be sharing it you you guys. How una day? 😊 as it is popularly said in pidgin English here in Nigeria. I believe your day went well like mine. Nigeria

I left the house to work without eating as there was no food at home to eat although I had plans to get myself something to eat during the day. I got to my office and the IT students under me were already there, cleaning and sweeping the lab for the days job. I couldn't contain my hunger anymore so I went out to get something to eat.

I bought and ate roasted yam in the afternoon. This meal is prepared by roasting tiny pieces of yam on a hot charcoal. Once the yam is done, it is further cut and put in a nylon bag, red palm oil is poured on it and mixed and utazi leaf with fresh onions is sliced and added into it. It was delicious.

When I came back to the office, I beckoned on one of my students to weave my hair. She weaved it so nearly although it was painful but I loved the outcome and it saved me money of going to the salon.

After I closed from work in the evening, I went to my friend's place, it was an entertaining moment with them. We gisted about secondary school days, laughed at the silly things we did back then. I had so much fun and I felt really alive and happy. It was the best part of my day.
