What do you understand by this statement?
Hello everyone. It is an opportunity and a pleasure to present to you my article on this week's topic. Which is asking us the meaning of the statement, “An Apple a day keeps the Doctor away”. This is actually a popular and old saying or proverb. Which is trying to explain to us that taking in a fruit daily will help keep us healthy and not getting sick.



Which will cause us to go to the hospital to see a doctor. This doesn’t only explain or talks about taking in fruits to be healthy but the proverb or statement talks generally on how we should take good care of health. But when one takes a good look at the fruit which is being used to set this example.



You will get to find out that an Apple is the best fruit to be used for such statement. This is because an Apple is filled with nutrients like carbohydrates and protein. Not only that but with much fluid and fat in it. Which are some of the very nutrients needed by our body.

What are some practices/habits you do to make sure you're healthy? (State and give the importance in your own words)
As a human, it is very necessary and required of us to be doing something active that will help keep us healthy and in good shape. For me in person, the very habits or practices i do is first of all know the kind of food i am supposed to eat. Also, i try to take in fruits and then play football and jog. Which i will honestly say i don’t do them continuously. That’s the taking of fruits and the exercises. But they are what i do to keep my self healthy.

REASONS
I used to be going to the gym some time ago but later on quit going due some reasons. But will be starting very soon, that’s after i complete school.

  • Fruits as we all know are very important to the growth and maintaining a healthy life for us as humans. Fruits are filled with nutrients of all kinds. Which is why it is recommended for us to eat more fruits. Also, not just fruits I also try to be very aware of the food i take and also try to be taking in balance meals once in a while.

  • The jogging is the very one i am fond of doing the most. Because i see it to be easy and healthy. I usually do my jogging in the morning, that’s after the dawn prayers. I try to cover some good number of miles every single day. Also, i am also the type who loves walking for a long distance. This is because i want to feel like i am doing an exercise even if it happens that i have missed out on my jogging.

How did you discover these activities? Did you discover the activities/habits by yourself or someone told recommended them to you?
As a child, i was being taught at school and at home how important it is for us to keep ourselves healthy and in good shape. We were being educated about the things we need to do keep ourselves healthy. That’s from the food we eat to the various forms of exercises we can be doing to keep our selves healthy.



So I tried to take heed of these things. Which was actually were I got to learn about these habits or practices i am doing now. Luckily for me there are some good number and types of fruits here in my locality. So i have been taking them ever since i was taught about them and how healthy they are.



The exercising activity is commonly seen among most of my neighbors, most especially jogging. Kids and adults in my neighborhood really love doing exercises. They love it and it almost seem like fun to them whenever they are doing it. Through my observation, i got to know that it keeps them healthy and happy. Which is why i have also made it a habit to be doing such activities too.

What are the health benefits of the habit(s)?
The habits i have mentioned above in my article is just some few among the numerous health habits out there. But the very ones i have mentioned are very simple and healthier as well.



Looking at the intake of fruits like this, helps to provide our body or system with nutrients that helps the system to fight against sickness like poor growth and other related diseases like cancer. Fruits helps our body in the digestion of food and circulation of blood.



Also, there is the regular exercising activities like the jogging and other sports activities too which helps the blood circulation in our body to circulate well. Exercises helps our heart to function well. We tend to loose much weight and fat through exercising.



Since i have seen many people practicing and benefiting from what I have stated above, it clearly
shows that it is good habit and for that we should all try and practice some for a healthier life and also as the statement says, it will keep us away from going to the hospital.

Do you think everyone could engage in these habits? Explain
These habits are easy to the extent that any individual who is willing to keep themselves healthy can engage or practice it. Beside it is a healthy habit so i think it is a must for everyone to practice the habit i have shared in my article. If they find it difficult to do that, they should try and look at people around them and see how they are so concern about their health.



They try to eat healthy and balanced meal every now and then. Also, they do a lot of exercises to keep them fit. So you can see these type of people as a source of motivation and follow their lead. With that it will be easy for you to practice that habit.

What health tips would you give steemians?
There some health tips i think are very necessary and very important for everyone to know about. They seem to look common and simple. But trust me you wouldn’t believe what these tips actually do. Below are some of the tips;
  • We need to keep eating more fruits at least every single day. It could even be just a single fruit in a day.

  • Consuming or taking in more water to stay hydrated and to keeps the blood circulation smoothly in our body.

  • Regular exercising or once in a while is ok. We need to find something active to be engaging ourselves in, even if it is not always but we should be doing something active. For this will help keep us and our brain active and healthy.

  • Not only fruits but also vegetables and balanced meals are advisable for a healthier life. So we should try and be taking in more vegetable too.

  • Lastly, the human body needs enough rest. So we should try and be allocating a good number of hours to be having a very sound and long sleep. This will help keep us ready and fresh all the time.
Conclusion

In conclusion, the statement is trying to tell us how important it is for us to do the necessary things that will keep our body in good shape. In order to prevent us from getting sick not just visiting the doctor. Also, the above habits i have mentioned if taken into serious consideration can be helpful to our health. So we should look into it.

There are many benefits of eating apple. Why it is said An Apple a day keeps doctor away because apple has potential to highly reduce the risk heart disease and strokes.

Jogging and eating fresh fruits makes us healthy and we must not skip jogging because it is very very important for our body and mind. I am not jogging person but I was thinking to start it in few days.

You have mentioned great benefits of habits you do and why other Steemians should do these habits.

Really nice I am also fond of the jogging a time ago and I really love to do jogging it's good for good and balance diet and weight.

Apple has so many nutrition value that it has so many good mineral and vitamin c and zinc and it can have effects on bowels as well prevent constipation as well.
