A perfect Afternoon with Kids

Hi fellow Steemians! These past days have been extraordinary, with time spent with the lively and enthusiastic kindergarten and primary school kids as they prepared for their end-of-year ceremony and graduation. The excitement in the air was visible as soon as I entered the school. The children, in their assorted rehearsal outfits, were buzzing with energy and anticipation.

I found myself captivated by the kindergarten kids as they practiced their dance steps. Their tiny feet moved in unison to the music, guided by their dedicated teacher. The lyrics of the song went something like "... you dey do wonder ehh..." and judging by how the kids lip-synched, it was immediately obvious that they were having fun. In places like this, you can't help but giggle at how easily distracted these kids can be. The least strange voice and all heads are turned

Next, I observed the kids rehearsing their rhymes. They stood in a neat row, their faces glowing with pride as they recited their lines. The rhymes ranged from classic nursery tales to personalized poems that the teachers had written. It was inspiring to see how these young minds memorized and delivered their pieces with confidence.

In another corner, grade six pupils were rehearsing their "bottle dance," a performance in which dancers dance in pairs, a male and female per pair. While these pupils thought they were putting in their best, I could still overhear the instructor saying they were too stiff.

The highlight of the day for me was witnessing a male teacher leading a nursery school class. It was my first time seeing a male teacher in this role, and it was truly thrilling. The enthusiasm with which he interreacted with these kids was nothing short of screaming "I was born for this." The children responded with great enthusiasm to his energetic teaching style.

As the day drew to a close, the children gathered for a final run-through of their performances. The intense preparation and excitement of the kids were already sending cues about what a remarkable show the actual graduation would be.
