MORNING MEDITATIONS WITH @elian23khan || LET IT GO
Hello guys good morning. I hope you had a restful night!
Do you know God wants you to let go of your hurt and resentment by forgiving others? You have to let go of your hurt. Stop rehearsing it over and over and again and again. If you are in the habit of doing that, then you are hurting yourself.
Turn your Bible's with me to Matthew 18:27
Permit Me to give you three reasons from our verse why you should let it go:
1. Because God in Christ forgives you. In Matthew 18, you most have read this story about a king who forgives his servant. Look at verse 17 again, “The servant’s master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go”. The way you you see the king canceling the debt of this servant, that is the way God sent Jesus Christ to pay the prize for your own sins. **Everything you have ever done wrong in your life, God has already paid for it when Jesus died on the cross. His dead took the blame from you. He paid your penalty time. Jesus Christ died for all your sins.
2. Because resentment is imprisonment. It is a self-inflicted pain. We can call it a pain in the ass! Whenever you are unforgiving, it always hurts you more than the person you are refusing to forgive. In fact, while you are still worrying about something that happened years ago, the other person has forgotten about it that moment it happened! Your past is past, and it can’t hurt you anymore, unless you hold on to pain.
3. Because you need forgiveness every day. In the Matthew 18, Jesus makes it very clear that you can not receive what you are not willing to give out. How can you receive the forgiveness of God and you are not willing to forgive others? If you want to be forgiven, you need to be a forgiving person.
Forgiveness should be your way of life. It should not just be something you do for a time and stop at another. You need to forgive every day of your life. You have to daily ask for forgiveness, accept forgiveness daily from God and from others, and offer forgiveness when others wrong you too. It’s a continual process that will bring you joy and good health.

Just as the Lords prayer says.... Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
We can't be asking for forgiveness yet, not ready to forgive.
