Thanks for joining us in today's session of morning meditations with @elian23khan. Today, we will be talking on the theme: Hand it over to Jesus, He will bless you. In today's session, my intentions are to show you what it truly is when it comes to giving to God and to each other through the power of God's love and His Word. Cast your bread upon the waters, for you will find it after many days."
Ecclesiastes 11:1¹

Now, the point of this text is not how water affects bread. It is about how our goodness, generosity and love affects the world. The bread and water in the text are used as visual images. The bread, which as a figure of speech is best understood to be the seed of the bread (its grain), representing our goodness and love, and the rest of the passage encourages us not to give-up in our “sowing.” We must “cast our bread”. That means we must continue to be good, even when it doesn’t seem to be doing any good to us or making any sense. This is because in due time, we will harvest from our generosity.²

Whatever you sow to God in generosity, he multiplies.

If you sow God your talent, he’ll multiply your talent. If you sow your energy, he’ll multiply your energy. If you sow your money, he will multiply your money. Whatever you generously sow to God, he will multiply and give it back a hundred fold.

In the gospel, Jesus did a miracle to teach His Disciples this truth. As they were preaching the gospel, five thousand people followed them out into the desert. Jesus taught them all day, and it was evening and the people were hungry. The disciples came to Jesus and asked Him to send everyone home. But Jesus on the other hand asked the disciples to give the people something to eat. I am so convinced that the disciples must have wondered among themselves saying, “What is he doing?” And I would have done the same. But Jesus on the other hand was testing their faith. He wanted to test their dependence on him when it comes to trusting him to provide what they needed to feed 5,000 people.

As God will always do His things, among the 5000 people was one little boy who brought his lunch, and inside his basket were five little loaves of bread and two fried or smoked fish. After their wondering, the disciples brought this boy and his lunch to Jesus and said, “Lord, this little boy has this," and then he handed it to Jesus saying, "Lord, you can have this.”

Jesus took the bread and loaves, lifted it up, prayed, and broke it, blessed it and multiplied it. It fed 5,000 people! The 5,000 miraculous feed on this little boys launch, and there were leftovers, amounting up to 12 baskets full of fish and loaves!

God never gives you just what you need. He always gives more, more than you anticipate, and more than you can ever imagine. He took two fish and five loaves from the boy broke it, blessed it and used it.

That is what God can do in your life. He will take what you will bring to him and use it for good.

Hand it over to Jesus today. He will bless you and use you to bless others.

Let Me Pray With You
Father, as your sons and daughters step out today to honour and obey you by handing over everything to Jesus, I declare your blessings upon their lives in the name of Jesus. I pray that whatever or whoever was working against them, as from today, let it begin to favour them in the name of Jesus. May they receive grace from above to excel in Jesus mightily name. Amen
