Steemit Engagement Challenge S4-W3 | Are people made or born

It's my pleasure to be among the participants of this amazing contest in my precious community steem Cameroon. stay longer and read through my entry.

People are born and people are made to be whoever they are. We have people who were born with business skills that may have been inherited from Parents. We have people who have studied and done a lot of research to become Business people.

All in all, People who are born with certain skills still need to be mentored and guided to bring out the best in them.

What do you understand by Talent?

Talents can be skills you are born with. Talents can also be looked upon as natural skills one is born with. Examples of talents include singing, Dancing, acting, drawing etc.
Talent in those days was a unit of measurement or amount of Money. This was mostly used by Ancient Greece, Rome and the Middle East. However, This is not the talent we mean in this context. We mean talent as in your ability to do something exceptionally when compared with other people.

The difference between inborn talent and self learned talents

As earlier mentioned, There are inborn talents and those things that you learn and become exceptionally good at.

The difference between these two concepts are examined as seen below.

Inborn talents

This is referred to those skills that you had from the time of birth which needs little polishing to put them effectively to work.These May include;

Singing

Not everybody can sing. Singing requires a good voice to make it enticing and sweet.
The advent of technology has made it possible for even people with very project voices to be able to sing good music but truth is singing is a talent which some people were born with.

Drawing

Drawing inspiration from myself, I can confirm that drawing is a special talent that only a few people have. Personally I can not draw and this is because it's not what I was born to do or better still I was not born with those special skills.

Inquisitiveness

Inquisitiveness is the ability to ask too many questions to clarify your doubts. Very few people have this ability. Some people prefer to die in silence even if they have people they can ask and have clarification but prefer to die in silence. This is very common with little children as they are willing to clarify their doubts.

Patience

Patience is a virtue very few people possess. People can not wait for the right time for things to happen naturally. For instance In Bambili (Northwest Region of Cameroon) Most youngsters don't want to take their time to study and build a good carrier. They prefer to do cyber frauds to get guick money. Most of them end up dying early because of the reckless spending of Money.

Honesty

Some people were naturally honest. These sets of people hardly have time for lies telling. They see lying as a very bad act which needs to be dealt with. Some people train themselves to be Honest but some were born with the virtue of honesty. The desire to see justice done runs in their DNAs.
The above virtues and more are acquired from Birth but one can still acquire them through learning. Also, below are some skills one get can get through learning.l

Skills Acquired through learning. (education)

Football

Football in international relations is the continuation of war through peaceful means. One can be born with this skill but it needs a lot of learning to fully bring it to its peak. Football needs constant training and practice sessions to make one perfect in the field. It is therefore difficult to have footballers who 're born.

Politics

Politics deals with the acquiring and consolidation of power. It is an art which you can not really be born with. learning the art of politics can make one perfect in it. For instance, Someone like Paul Biya, the president of Cameroon, was not born a politician. He became one through education and experience.

Management

There's an adage which holds that managers are born and not made. I partially accept this statement but I beg to differ with it. Good managers are made and not born. Even if you are a born Manager, You will still need education to be perfect. Very few managers exist in the 21st century who were born managers. That is to tell you that managers are made. Most of our higher private institutions in the town of Bamenda all have a department of Management in which managers are trained.
The paragraphs above provide a clear difference between arts acquired through learning and those acquired through learning.

How Can You Identify Talents?

Talents can not be identified so easily. Instead it's need a series of self testing to know exactly which talent you have and which one you perform Best in. These test may include;

Personal test

You must have noticed you are good in so many aspects. But the question which one are you best in will be answered through self testing. You test yourself on the various aspects you are good in to know exactly which one you are best in.

Asking from Parents and relatives

Parents saw you grow up and I believe they sw the things you were doing and enjoyed doing as a child. They can better explain to you those things you enjoyed doing.

What you enjoy doing

Some enjoy sleeping, some enjoy Dancing, some friends enjoy repairing electronics, some enjoy singing etc. Ask yourself what you enjoying doing and that you can do all this times without feeling bored. That is your talent bro.
These and alot more are quick ways identify your talent.

What is my Talent?

My talent is humanity related. I like to see into it that humanity does not suffer from any kind of injustice.
I like to see into it that the rights of each and everyone are protected and respected. That is why I decided to study law and administration. Studying law gives me the opportunity to help those who need Justice and to see into it that the rights of the underprivileged are protected and respected.
When I was in the town of Douala, a young man came to me complaining that he has been beaten by an elderly person. I could see that his eyes were swollen from the beatings he received from this man.
I took up on myself to help him out and to see into it that his rights are protected. I'm employed the knowledge I acquired from learning human rights and political liberties in school and also the knowledge acquired from studying international human rights law online into this case.
I employed The Diplomatic approach which is using peaceful methods to solve a problem in this particular case.
Before then I discovered that this guy was vulnerable and could not protect his rights so I decided to somon the two parties to a peaceful resolution meeting in which I used the knowledge acquired from school and on the experience I have acquired on the field to see into it that this guy's hospital bills where settled and made sure that the convocation he collected from the gendermerie Nationale be revoked.

This went on successfully and both parties agreed on the terms of the agreement.
This is what I enjoy doing and I hope to continue helping others in times of need.
I was born with this special gift but I polished it through education.
