Introduction

A Salary is a monthly allowance given to a worker. It is always fixed.

Getting a matricule in Cameroon is viewed as a mystery. Mystery in the Sense that it is difficult to get one even if you are qualified for any job. You will need to bribe your way through.

In Cameroon, There exist public schools From which you get a direct job upon Graduation. These schools Include, ENS, ENSET, NASLA,ENAM, and alot more. the above mentioned schools train Teachers, Council workers (Decentralisation argents), and administrators (Deconcentrated authorities) Respectively. These at the end of the month Receive a salary which can help them run their financial expenses.

The Limitation of Salary Earners.

Personally I don't like control but truth is we have to serve the fatherland in one way or the other. A person who receives 200000 as salary is quarantined as follows.

The Month End mentality.

When I was a kid, I used to hear civil servants drinking Palm wine bragging about the arrival of the month end and how they would buy drinks for everyone. It's a good thing but then come to think of it, You are limited to Month End. Your Mind is made to think that you can only have money at the end of the Month. Like seriously?? Is that what you really think?

Laziness.

Salary Earners are always contented with the peanuts money they receive yet they have expenses that are above what they receive. Your salary is 200k, You are married and have 3 children. Your house rent is 50k. You are left with 150k. Will this be enough to run the family for a whole month?

Salary Earners are Under the Control of their Bosses.

You are not allowed to leave your job site during working hours, you are not supposed to be late for work, you don't leave your job site when it is not yet closing time etc. Chaiii It's a daunting task You know.

The Difference between a Business Man and a salary Earner.

The business man most at times is self sufficient. He gets what ever he likes. That is also the case with a salary Earner but he is limited to Month End. While at the end the month a salary Earner is expected to receive a salary, A businessman who had been saving on a daily basis is still at the Bank trying to save much more money. The Business Man enjoys life on a Daily basis but the salary Earner is a month end man. At times they even borrow up to and above what they receive as salary and when it's time to collect salary, it is used to repay loans accumulated.

What is the Essence of This article?

The essence of This article is to raise awareness. The salary earners have to understand that they are more than what they receive. I recommend a side business that will add to your salary. You can sacrifice half of your salary for 8months and start a side hustle. Do whatever business that is lucrative in your Area. It will not be encouraging for about a month when you start but don't give up. You need to gain customers and by the time you have them, You will start reaping the benefits. This will supplement your salary and life will be better.

I so agree with you. I'm an advocate for entrepreneurship even if you are a salary earner. I stopped being a salary earner after working for 10yrs in 2017 to become an entrepreneur. I wasn't easy at the start but i must tell you, it's way better that waiting for month ends.
Thank you for putting out the points so nicely.

really great post with great content. Really salary is one of the easiest ways to imprison someone and hold them captive though salary helps to but i think should probably help you become financially independent .
