Club5050 | The Dairy Game | Civil and Traditional wedding of my friend | 07/05/2022

Hello Steemians. It is a great time to be here. Today I had a wonderful day and I will like to share how everything went down that made the day wonderful.

Morning Session

Today was the Civil and traditional wedding of my friend. So I had to travel to Buea from Bamenda yesterday.

So I was very tired from my travel yesterday so I took my time to sleep very well, preparing myself for the program during the day. The civil wedding was to start at 10:00am and the traditional wedding was to start 2:00pm.

So I woke up from bed at about 7:30 am. This is the furthest I have slept in a while. I was lodging at a friends house and so his wife made breakfast for us. That's actually what woke me from bed. So we ate and got chatting with them for a while. At 9:00 I started preparing to step out, I took my bath and dressed up and I was off to the Court to witness the civil rights being perform to legally bind these two together.

It was a lovely occasion precised over by the deputy mayor of Buea. What a solemn occasion it was and so lovely😊😊. I wish I could just get married immediately. The civil ceremony was over by 12 and then we had to retire back home, to prepare for the traditional wedding.

Afternoon Session

So I returned to the house and rested Abit. His wife was really a benevolent host. I was treated to a delicious plate of achu fufu corn and kati kati. We chatted at home for a while and then I started preparing for the traditional wedding.

We were at the compound of the girls family at 2:30 pm but you know we are in Cameroon so the occasion started at Cameroons time, that is 3:00 pm. I am from kom and so not really verse with the traditional rights of the South West region of Cameroon, so I just enjoyed the ceremony till the end

Evening Session

The traditional wedding ended at about 7:00 pm. The church wedding was supposed to be the next day and so nothing big was to take place that day.

I returned home to my guess we chatted more and more, watched some films and that was all for the day. Going home preparing for the next day.
