The diary game: Administering 3rd continuous assessment test and rehearsing for Christmas party (14/11/2024)

Happy weekend dear friends and members of Steem Cameroon, it's always good to be here. I had a very good week though the economic situation of the country isn't allowing people to smile, but we thank God. Today, I wanna share how my day went on the 14th and all what happened. I would appreciate your opinion on some things as I take you through.

I woke up early as usual and prepared for school because I didn't want to be late. I woke up as early as 5:30 am and was in school or at my workplace before 7am. It was a day to administer the 3rd continuous assessment test as we are about to round off the term. The time table had been given to the students. So arriving in school, the students started reading but when it was 7:45am, the bell was rung for morning Assembly. Morning Assembly ended by 8:15 and the students marched to their classes. Different teachers were posted to different classes to administer test and I was posted to Js2 class.

The students later went on break at 12 o'clock and after the break, they continued with their test. It was surprising to me when the bell was rung in the afternoon at about 1'oclock for the students to reassemble in the Assembly ground when it wasn't time for school to dismiss. I later found out that some students had committed grace offences. A student brought a large amount of money and bought chewing gums which was more than 20 and ate in class. One of the rules is that students are not to chew gum in class but this students had more than 20 gums. Another student was caught keeping exercise book in her lap while writing the test and copying from the exercise book. So they were called to the Assembly ground and flogged and they were also given additional punishment. The student of the child who was caught with an exercise book was informed and the mother asked the school to forgive her daughter and not to do anything to her, and I was wondering how long the school will continue forgiving the student as that particular student does everything the school makes rule against, and the parent is always asking for forgiveness each time without allowing the student bear the consequence of the action. I really pondered on how the future will be if a child is left off the hook everytime the child intentionally dies something wrong, knowing that he or she has his or her parent backing.

In the afternoon, the students had to rehearse for the upcoming end of the year party. This will come up after their exams and they had started rehearsing so as to perfect all activities before that day. The students were divided inti different groups. There was group for singing, for instruments, dancing, drama etc. The students had fun while rehearsing.

School finally dismissed at 4pm and I went home. When I got home, I refreshed myself and took dinner which was fufu and okra soup. I then relaxed with a movie titled 'dead sea'. When it was 9pm, I slept knowing that I had to wake up the next day.
