Travelling to Yaounde
Travelling to Yaounde using Finex Voyages
Travelling to Yaounde was quite exciting and a beautiful journey and also travelling with one of the best if not the best travelling agency in Cameroon. Maybe i'll make time to write on my travelling experience with Finex and other travelling agencies.
Leaving for Yaounde, i left at 10am in yhe morning and arrived at 3pm in the afternoon. The journey was a bit longer than i expected. I arrived Yaoundé then located my home there using google maps then took a car and headed home. Arriving home they were happy seeing me after almost 3years. I had a program same day so had to rush out using google maps and located where i was going to and went for the rehearsals.
Being in Yaounde for those who've been there will know it's almost as cold as Bamenda though not that cold like Bamenda and leaving a place like Douala which is very very hot where people barely sleep only with inner wears and going to a place like Yaounde which is very very cold hmmm the transition is really really a type. For me i grew up in Bamenda so being in Yaounde the climate won't get to affect me that much.
How i managed the transition for this duration
Going to Yaounde a bit earlier that's a week before the program was really disturbing for me because
first of all i had nothing doing in Yaounde,
secondly transportation in Yaounde is quite costly like people always say "you can travel from Yaounde to Yaounde" so the distances are really far
So what i did to be able to escape all these inconveniences first was to carry my laptop along so i wont get to be idle. So any time i never had something doing i just got to my laptop and continued working on my projects.
Apart from the laptop, i had to make good use of the google mapswhich helped me locate shortcuts to where i was going whenever i had to trek.

Going for rehearsals
Going for rehearsals in preparation for the convention i had one major challenge which was the distance leaving Essono city in Yaounde to Carrabot bar after Carrefour centre which cost almost 500frs one way meaning too and fro per day will cost 1000frs.
Notwithstanding, despite the challenge God still helped me throughout all the rehearsal period and sessions.
Most of our rehearsals took into the night and we had to always end up closing very late since we had very little time to practise together because all the instrumentalists were coming from different parts of the nation and more to that we needed practise to synchronize our playing styles together.

Our Annual Convention
The convention was really powerful and was really worth the time being there in Yaounde. The program had 3 sessions a day which were:
Prayeretamol
Which was morning prayers from 6:30am to 7:30am then a short break
Leadership conference
Which held from 8:30am to 1pm then finally
Evening session
Which held from 5pm to 11pm or more
Day one of the convention was amazing we talked on A Season is upon us very powerful ministration from our sent man. When you are aware that a season is upon you, you don't misbehave like everyone esle
This is is a summary of the first part and Day one of our convention. I'll surely be coming again with part two of my stay in Yaounde.
