Green Deeds Vol. 04 Contest | How often do you walk or cycle?

Hello Steem greetings to each and everyone in here. Trust you all are doing great. Today I'm so happy to be a participant of this Contest organized by @thegreens. Indeed it is an amazing Contest as usual. Kuddos 👏 to @thegreens for always bringing up such beautiful Contests.


My entry to this Green deeds contest is based on the the question How often do you walk or cycle? Where do you walk or cycle to? How many minutes or hours do you walk per week? Are you aware walking or cycling contributes in the fight against climate change? Are there any socio-economic or health benefits you get from walking or cycling?


I most confess I hadly do cycle now just because i don't have the means. I remember when I was still schooling in bambili as I use to go to the gym on daily basis to do some body fitness. When ever I'm there I always start and end my fitness on a cycling machine. After starting my fitness on a cycling machine, I then take a robe then start jumping over it till wen I'm almost exhausted, I now do some pumpings and abdors and still end up with my cycling since I really love it alot.


How often do you walk or cycle

As I earlier said, I don't Still do cycling anymore but what I do now is walking. I am not participating in this Contest just because I want to participate. It has also given me the opportunity to explain my Walking activity because I do walk on daily basis from Mondays to sundays. To cut the story short, I have and APP called

Actifit Fitness
which I'm using it on daily basis to record my walking activities so I could know howmany kilometers I walked per day

Where do you walk or cycle to?

  • This is another good question again. I do love sports very much so I walked most often to the field but the day I always walk extremely well is on Mondays. This is because of the distance I need to cover only by walking on foot from Mile3 where I'm staying to the field in Mile4 Atielah school just to play ball.
  • I also walk to church every Sunday
  • I am always walking to visit my friend's
  • in a day I have no place to go to, I make sure I walk around so as to meet up with my daily target of my Actifit report because I have pledge to always walked above 5kilometers on an average day so as to always keep my body Actifit

How many minutes or hours do you walk per week

  • I can't give the precise minutes or hours but from my Actifit reports, I can say the highest day I walk is on Mondays as the distance from my house in mile3 to mile4 Atielah field always take me between 1hr to 1hr 30mins depending my speed. And there in the field, we usually play for 2hrs.
  • Again, I usually go to the field some days but not consistent just around my house and play ball from 4pm to 6pm.
  • walking to church always take me about 15-20mins every Sundays
  • I also make sure to always walk and reached and Actifit of 5kilomters daily. So with all this, I can say I'm extremely happy to always be maintaining my Actifit body everyday just by walking or sporting.

Are you aware walking or cycling contributes in the fight against climate change?

  • Yes ofcourse I'm aware of that because I was taught in the secondary school that the emission of fuel from the vehicle or bikes also causes Green House Effect so choosing to walk will always reduces reduces Green House Effect
  • Yes it also contributes to Noise Pollution. Walking by feets will reduce the effects of noise pollution in a community
  • It has also made me to reduce the way I spend money on transportation because I mostly go to near by places by trecking rather than paying bikes so as I should always keep my Actifit Fitness on point.

Are there any socio-economic or health benefits you get from walking or cycling?

  • We all know that only by walking helps in maintaining our health status like increasing the heart and lungs fitness as well as reducing your weight and strengthening your muscles.
  • We also know that just by walking also help in maintaining good breath and reduces the high chances of you having muscle cramps

Conclusion

I want to thank @thegreens for this beautiful Contest and I will also recommend anyone who comes across this post that he/she should always know that walking has alot of good benefits and so you should always try to set your walking activities and follow it kindly or you can even download and app which will always assist you so you can be monitoring and maintaining your walking activities

Yeah man to be focused in life it's always good to plan all your activities, that's why I took out time to download this Actifit Fitness app so as to always program my self using it

Wao bro i love the way you do your build up.It's health beneficial and I personally love sport mostly interms of body mechanics and exercises when am chanced.With these multiple function exercise you do your health status will be strong.Courage
