The Diary Game 3: BetterLife with Steem (07/10/2022)

Greetings dear friends on the Steemit platform, today I am privileged to share with you all my diary of 07/10/2022. It was a day full with many activities to be done. It was my daughter’s born day and she has turned 6. I was sick and laid down on the bed at about 6:30 am when my daughter came knocking on my door. I wake up from bed and checked my time, and she reminded me that it was her birthday.

I had planned to celebrate it in school but unfortunately I was not strong enough to carry through with the stress of the day. I struggled to sing her a birthday song with my neck paining seriously. I managed to sing it though could not complete it till the end. I made her tea for breakfast and arranged her lunch pack and put in her school bag.

When she left for school, I had a reminder on my phone about the scheduled commitments for the day. Oh my goodness, it was my day to review articles in steem-cameroon community, select booming posts and curate with the community account. As that was not enough, another reminder popped up that it was curation day with team 5 community curators for October. Where do I start with bad health🤔🤔🤔?

I was braved enough to take my shower first and then write my diary of the previous day because I checked the SC08 account VP was to be at 100% at 9:19am. By the time I was done with my diary post, the account VP was almost at 100. I immediately logged into the account and started curating till around 11:00 am. I decided to take a break as my son was up from bed.

I bath him, prepared noddles for him as breakfast, fed him and as usual, he went back to the room to watch cartoons. I took the opportunity to review articles in steem-cameroon, curate with the community account. I did this till around 2:30 pm when my husband was back at home to drop our daughter from school.

I had already heated food for lunch, my husband decided to serve himself since he knew I was not feeling well. Remember in one of my previous diary, I did mentioned about my husband’s friend wife who was about to put to birth. She finally did that and was still in the hospital. I was sick and was not able to go visit them at the hospital. On this day, at about 3:00 pm, I asked my husband if it’s possible that we took a bike to the hospital so I can greet them. He accepted and we bought some stuffs at the supper market and took a bike to the hospital.

We arrived the hospital at about 3:30 pm, and the baby had not yet be administered BCG vaccine because it was not available. The vaccines came in on this day and the population was much to take the BCG. I then sat with my husband’s friend on a bench at the clinic while waiting on the wife to bring the baby after the vaccine.

We sat there for about 30 minutes discussing his experiences as a father of 2 sons. The wife came after the baby had been vaccinated.

They have been discharged to go back home. I had to assist the husband to arranged their things and the husband had to hire a cab to take them back home. The wife remembered that they have not yet collected the child’s birth card at the hospital. She asked me to sanitize my hands and hold the baby while she rush and checked on the birth card. Without this birth card, it will be difficult to establish the child’s birth certificate.

The cab man came and the husband packed everything in the cab. The wife came with the birth card and they left the hospital to their house. I left the hospital premises and out of the hospital, I stopped by a lady selling fruits. I bought apples and water melon.

From there, I decided to pass at the bakery (njieforbi) to buy French bread for breakfast. I later discovered that they equally had good croissants. I bought French bread and some croissants.

From the bakery, I went to a nearby supper market to buy mayonnaise, chocolate, spaghetti and yoghurt for my kids. It is a new super market and the prices are quite reasonable as compared to a monopoly store man I have at my quarter. I was surprised that prices in a supper market that they pay high taxes were rather cheaper than prices in a quarter store.

I left the supper market, and beside the place, there was a man selling pepper soup pork meat. I stopped by and purchase some to eat with French bread. I wanted to try something abnormal today 😂😂, even though to swallow is so difficult for me due to sore throat.

When I was done eating, my husband came back and assisted to feed the kids while I continued with curation with SC08 account. The weather was cold and I was feeling feverish. I decided to put on my house coat 🧥 and equally put on a cap to keep myself warm. While curating, my sister abroad called via video call and we chatted for a while. I continued curating and internet connection was a bizarre. I struggled with the bad internet connection for hours but finally completed my task but could not filled the sheet online.

When I was done curating, I decided to check my emails and behold I got a mail from one company in Australia I applied a job there. I was taken as an independent contractor. I had a series of documents to signed digitally. I was not in a haste to do that. I decided to take my medicines and went to bed without wasting any time. I will do the signing the next day.

That is how my day ended dear friends. Until my next diary session, happy weekend to everyone. Hope we all have a blast before work resumes.
