The Diary Game [20/10/2024] // A Day with Mixed Feelings.
Steem greetings @everyone and welcome to my blog as I share my diary session with you all. It has been a week of mourning for my family as we laid down to rest our late brother. Since I came back from the burial, I have been suffering from malaise but I thank God that I'm gradually regaining myself.
That said, my day started on good footing as I woke up early to prepare breakfast for the kids. I prepared some noddles as requested by my son and ensured to feed them so that they can eat properly without wasting the food.
I heated water and bath the kids and also took my bath. It was a Sunday morning but I had no plans to go to church. I sat outdoors and listened to different praise and worship songs from some prominent gospel artists such as SINACH, Don Moen, etc.
I decided to go to a food vendor in my neighbourhood to buy a bucket of sweet potatoes and cocoyams. Upon arrival there, I saw a few of food stuffs and she was trying to convince me to buy plantains. The plantains were not looking good at all as she had exposed them into sunlight that damages them. I bought just the cocoyams and returned back home.
When I returned back home, I noticed my baby needed some items such as wipes and water. I went to a provision store within the same neighbourhood and bought the items.
We had unannounced blackouts and I continued sitting outdoors while engaging on Steemit. I used my phone as the battery was a bit enough for me to use and create content. I prepared some orange juice which I used to write a gastronomy challenge.
Electricity was restored in the evening hours and I had to complete my worksheet I allowed due to the blackout. I completed the sheet and selected my best post of the day.
The evening hours were characterised by strange feelings as my body became weak. I was feeling dizzy and decided to lay down in bed. Guys, I only noticed myself the next day.
Thank you for the support @lirvic
Who won’t get tired after having such busy day, going to market, then to provision stores, the kids and also cooking.. the body needed the rest, that’s why it shut down..
By d way, Howfar with the “lock down”? Has it been called off now, have the kids finally resumed school?
The lockdown is usually periodically organized. Like when there is a public event, the separatists call for a lockdown. Normally every Monday is permanently declared a lockdown. But for now, schools are ongoing. The 2 weeks lockdown in September was to disrupt the opening of a new academic year.
To be honest, I'm tired of the lockdowns and will definitely take action by the next academic year so that my kids can freely study.
