The Diary Game [06/07/2024] // Weekend Vibes

Steem greetings all the way from the motherland-Cameroon and welcome to my blog as I share my daily routine with you all. It’s weekend guys and I hope we all are having a blissful time in our respective communities.

The day started on a good footing as I woke up a-bit stronger than the previous day but still having been myself after the night trip. It will take me like a week to properly heal. Before I traveled for vacation, I had emptied almost everything in my house because I did not want the food to get bad before we returned from the vacation.

Early that morning, I went into the bath and did my everyday hygiene routine and dressed up ready to go out. I took a cab to town first to the bank to withdraw money for some foodstuffs and also baby’s milk and food.

I stood by the roadside for almost an hour before I got a cab to town. The traffic early in the morning was horrific. I stopped by the bank and withdraw money from my account before heading to our local food market. I bought a lot of things and the image below is part of the items I purchased.

While in the market, there was serious gunshots and caused a commotion in the market. I could not purchased all the things I needed and I quickly took a bike to rush home for safety. While at home, my kids were awake and my husband had assisted and prepared them breakfast, fed them before leaving the house.

I relaxed a bit before entering the kitchen to prepare my 7 months old baby food. Though my husband fed him with milk before leaving the house but it was not heavy enough to sustained him not to disturbed me when I’m working.

After feeding the baby, I entered the kitchen and started preparing our lunch. It was huckleberry and fufu corn. It took me 2 hours to prepare the meal and served everyone. I could not eat immediately as I had to feed my 4 years old son before eating.

After eating, we relaxed a bit and napped for some few minutes. The evening hours were used to watch the quarter finals of the Euro 2024 between England Vs Switzerland and Netherlands Vs Turkey. It was an awesome evening as we started watching the first soccer game. My husband was supporting England because of his Arsenal players in the names of Saka, Rice, etc. After the full 90 minutes play, the game ended on a draw and extra 30 minutes of play still ended on a draw. England finally qualified for the semifinals after penalty shootout against Switzerland.

We equally watched the second game between Netherlands Vs Turkey. The game was so interesting and we were supporting Turkey to win. Unfortunately, Turkey was kicked out of the competition by the Netherlands after a 2:1 defeat.

I was supper exhausted after the game and was having nerves issues and my husband advised me to go to bed and rest properly. That is how my day ended guys, until my next diary session, happy weekend to everyone 🥰🫶🏾.
