The Diary Game[03/03/2025] Lockdown Day in my City.

Steem greetings @everyone from the motherland-Caneroon and welcome to my blog as I share my lifestyle content with you all. Some days are just bad to the extent that one feels like not doing anything at all. During this period of harmattan, we experience dry cold at night to the extent that it affects me seriously. I could not sleep at night as I experienced running nostrils until I had to put on a facemask.

During the day, we experienced very hot weather with scorching sun. You would not believe that at night, you will have to deal with the dry cold. I had to prepare some pancakes for us to drink some hot tea for breakfast.

After eating breakfast, I took a warm bath as I was told to do so that it would help to subside the running nostrils. I had to add some lemon to my tea to boost my immune system.

When I had enough rest, I decided to take a walk around and also to buy some stuff to cook jelof rice. It was lockdown in my city and I did not expect to get things so easy. I knew I had to walk till I arrived at the local market before I could get anything reasonable.

The streets were so empty but I could spot some bikes and a few individuals like myself walking along the street. I was sceptical and almost returned home but I put in courage and walked to the market. I know it sounds strange that on a lockdown day, people are at the market selling. They are courageous and though it's risky, no shop was opened because opening your shop on a lockdown day, is inviting separatists to burn down your shop and label you “black leg”, meaning you are considered an enemy.

While returning home, I bought some boiled fresh corn from a roadside vendor. I decided to walk back home for personal security. On such days you do not trust bike riders because anyone is a potential kidnapper. No taxi or private vehicles were moving.

When I arrived home, I immediately washed the dirty dishes we ate and packed them up. Then I took the ingredients I bought for the rice, washed them thoroughly and sliced them. I had to do all this to preserve in the fridge to use early the next day to cook before going to work.

I crowned the day by watching the FA Cup game between Nottingham Forest versus Ipswich. I watched the 90 minutes of drama between the two teams and it was 1:1 aggregate. I decided to call it a day because I needed to go to bed early to wake up early to cook. Until my next dairy session, guys it is a good night from my end.
