Plagiarism Report for Steem-Cameroon by [@chant]03/12/2021
Hello everyone, accept season greetings from this end. It has been a great year so far on steemit, and we hope to achieve more before the year runs out. Since the plagiarism team was created, we have been keen in checking users content to ensure that it meet up with the standards put in place by steemit team. Steemit team frowns at plagiarized content as it goes against the algorithm behind steemit, which is proof of brain.
This month of November, we realized that most of the plagiarized contents were from newbies, even though some old but inactive members resurfaced with plagiarized content. The following links were marked as plagiarized content. Some of them were given a first warning signal by the admins of Steem-Cameroon community, others were issued second warning. If a user is caught plagiarizing the third time, you will be flagged from the community.

What we noticed is that once you identify someone’s post as plagiarized content, some of the users later on edit the content and call the attention of admins that they did not plagiarized. I want to let everyone know that we make screenshots of everything on a post we identified as plagiarized content, before admins comment with the community account.
A suggestion i will like to make is that admins should be on alert once these posts are identified. Looking at the links above, you will noticed that one user in November month plagiarized 4 times, which he was supposed to be flagged from the community, and not having the opportunity to post the 4th time.
I think, if we keep to the rules, then the community will have serious and devoted members, posting original content.
NB: Copy and paste or trying to take a part of someone’s content without referencing is considered academic theft. Using images which were not taken by you without referencing is considered plagiarism. We encourage newbies to visit newcomers community and do their achievements especially content etiquette.

Thanks for this report, we will work on the recommendations proposed.
Thanks for awakening me ohhh I will advoid plagiarism
This is great work you are doing and I believe it will help some of us to be alert, and to also make sure we check our work severally for plagiarism before posting. But I want to plead that when you tag a post as plagiarized, please screenshot the portion of the work and the original content from the source link and let it be clearly seen in your reply to the plagiarized post.
And when you allow content to be above 48 hours online and you check it for plagiarism, the checker will always record sections of the post as plagiarized.
Please @chant you and your team should take note of these highlights and help us. Blessings
