You stand strong in the midst of trouble and trauma,
Your children are taken away from you but you stay strong ,
Many times you are starved but wake up and say i'm strong
The day is deem and the night is darker but you still stand out bright
Ohh mama Africa you are the rock of the family
You toil in the farm all season for family
You will do what it takes to make your children stay in unity
Your tears have filled the ocean
Yet you know Asong will build a mansion
The younger ones have been shot and killed
yet you still believe in the nation
Ohhh mama Africa the woman of dignity
You are deprived of your right to good health
And they say health is wealth
But you are healed by the spirit of purity
I know you are loosing your sanity
But you have to stay strong for i will get strong
I am coming back from the front
Ohh mama Africa , my hope of living
