International Anti-Corruption Day |

Bangladesh suffers from serious corruption in many sectors. Corruption destroy the development of our country. At December 9, In our country we observed International Anti Corruption Day. This is a very important day. It is a day to raise awareness about corruption and ask people to stand against it. In this day, programs are organized by the government and various organizations to bring the message out about how corruption is bad for everyone and how it can be stopped. Makes people be honest, transparent and follow strong moral values. The day reminds us all that there needs to be fighting corruption to have a better tomorrow.
Propose and Draw a Mascot to represent the day & Give a brief description of your mascot.
I wanted to introduce to you a awesome mascot. I have designed for the International Anti-Corruption Day. The name of this mascot is the Lamp of Honesty and I made this using Canva software.
"Lamp of Honesty" stood for honesty, justice and transparency. Sparkling with a golden flame which signify the triumph of truth over corruption. Corruption free society is a hope and inspiration sign of which is the lamp. The green and red colours of Bangladesh’s national flag represent our unity and pride as a nation. That is reflected on the background of the mascot. Starting with this mascot, people are encouraged to spread light, positivity and to choose honesty every day in our fight against corruption.
What are the changes you think this day has brought to your community.
Changes by this Day |
---|
The day has changed Bangladesh in positive way, in the sense of making the people more aware of corruption. Both the government and private organizations are moving more strictly against corruption. Schools and colleges are running programs, such as debates and campaigns that are teaching young people what is honesty and what is fair. People are getting more aware of their rights and more confident to face corruption. Corruption is still a big problem, but more people know the danger of corruption and are willing to fight against it. This day built citizens hope and a greater sense of responsibility.
Who are the active promoter, and what do you think can be added to have more impact to your community.
In Bangladesh Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB), Anti Corruption Commission and Youth Organizations are working against corruption. Media and social media act as two very important catalysts by propagating awareness and talking about corruption. These efforts have to scale further, especially in rural areas, if they are to make a bigger difference. Teaching special programs to people of villages can educate them about their rights and fighting against corruption. Sharing anti corruption message using songs, local play and stories can make the message more relatable and impactful.
Fighting corruption is not a one time thing. Corruption free society is possible only when everyone puts in their best effort and plays his or her role. We must do this for a brighter future for the next generation.
