THE DIARY GAME: MY FIRST SUNDAY IN YEAR 2025: (5TH JANUARY, 2025)

Wonderful greetings, beloved members of Steem @Cameroon community. It is with great joy that I share my experience of the first Sunday in the year 2025 with you. As we begin this new year, I bring you reflections on a day filled with inspiration, spiritual renewal, and the deep joy of worship.

I woke up early, full of gratitude for the new year, after our morning devotion with my family we all prepared to attend the church service. It was the first Sunday in the year 2025, according to my church doctrine every first sunday of the month begins with a Communion Service, hence this one wasn't exceptional. When we stepped into the sanctuary, I felt a profound sense of peace and expectation. The atmosphere was vibrant with songs of praise as the congregation sang in unison, celebrating God’s faithfulness.

Then the The Bible lessons, taken from 2 Timothy 2:1-22, reminded us of Paul’s exhortation to Timothy. Apparently, The passage called us to purity, diligence, and commitment to serving God as honorable vessels. As our theme for the year 2025 was powerfully echoed in the sermon titled "Vessels to Honor." The pastor urged us to purify ourselves, avoid worldly entanglements, and pursue righteousness, faith, and love. He reminded us that our lives must reflect the glory of God in every aspect, inspiring me to rededicate myself to the Master’s work.

The sermon was both inspiring and thought-provoking. The preacher expounded on the qualities that make us honorable vessels in God’s hands. Drawing from 2 Timothy 2:20-21, he emphasized that, just as a house contains vessels of gold, silver, wood, and clay, we as Christians must strive to purify ourselves and be useful for noble purposes. He also urged us to seek holiness, flee youthful lusts, and pursue a life that glorifies God. This message stirred a deep desire in me to rededicate my life and be a vessel fit for the Master's use. Shortly after the sermon was tithes and offerings.

Thereafter was Holy communion proper, a sacred moment that symbolized our unity with Christ and each other. As we partook of the bread and wine, representing Christ's body and blood, I reflected on His sacrifice and my commitment to live a life worthy of His calling.

At the close of service, my heart was full of joy and hope. The message, fellowship, and spiritual nourishment made my first Sunday in 2025 unforgettable and set a godly tone for the year ahead. Truly, I was reminded that being a vessel unto honor is not just a goal but a daily pursuit of righteousness in Christ.
