THE DIARY GAME: 07/09/20: ONLINE LEARNING IS THE FUTURE
Hi everyone!!
The impact of the covid19 pandemic has been felt really deeply by the education sector in all parts of the world. The results however have been the quick responsiveness moving towards a digital universe.
Work
Though not new to education, digitisation of the learning process had been fast tracked and it's no different where I work
We have a platform that was developed for learners from high school up to tertiary level.
I spent most of yesterday assisting students learn and access the portal.
I had a very busy day because we have also been preparing for face to face learning at work. Tentative dates for the opening of schools have been set for the 14th of September for those writing Cambridge exams and 28th of September for those writing local exams.
We have adapted a blended approach which will see us using e learning and face to face lessons concurrently.
I spent the morning in a meeting with other teachers where we discussed various issues, the most important being covid 19 awareness and the safety of learners and staff. I'll take this opportunity to remind everyone to mask up always and consistently and constantly sanitize themselves and their space.
I can't stress enough how important it is that we keep ourselves safe and healthy.
I spent the last part of my work day scratching my head creating a timetable for all teachers to use when we open. That was my work day.
Home
I got home and was so fascinated and seized with learning how to add liquidity to trading pools. I really enjoyed it.
