THE DIARY GAME 2/08/2020: THANKSGIVING SUNDAY

in Steem Africa4 years ago

Today is the second day of the month and also the first Sunday of the month. Every first Sunday of the month is known as Thanksgiving Sunday, we give thanks to God for giving us the grace to see another month.

I woke up early this morning to my usual morning devotion. Since here in Lagos Nigeria, we are still in partial lockdown; churches, mosque, schools, and restaurants are yet to open. So I did my service at home. For the past few months in which we have spent our Sunday services at home, we attend the live Sunday service of the Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG) on their DStv channel 349 which is popularly known as Dove TV. It was a great session again with the general overseer of RCCG, Pst. Enoch Adeboye.

Here are some pictures taken

The picture above is the wife of the general overseer of RCCG, Mrs Foluke Adeboye, blessing the collection of tithes and offering.

I went on to iron my dress which I have prepared to wear tomorrow when leaving for a ceremony tomorrow. The cloth is one of my favorite native dress because it fits me just right. Below is a picture of the dress while I was ironing it.

In the picture above, I haven't completely ironed the dress.

Below is a picture I took a year ago wearing that same dress.

Since the last ceremony I wore that dress, I haven't worn it again, so I felt to rock it this time since it fits and looks good on me.

So after ironing the cloth, I was really hungry. Like really really hungry. So I didn't wait to brush my teeth, I went straight to the kitchen to see what was on ground to eat, whole and behold Jollof rice was ready, at the same time there was still some moi moi (made from beans) remaining. Without wasting for it to be served in the food flasks, I rushed a plate to serve myself with the Jollof rice with moimoi and boiled egg.

The Jollof rice was cooked by mum, it was damn delicious. I took a really large quantity and devoured it. Below is a picture of my food

I had eaten a great amount from what is left in the picture above. I was really filled and it was as if I was pregnant 😂😂😂. I had to use the restroom thereafter to offload my stomach.

Thereafter, I had to clean the car as I had plans to drop my dad at the airport. He was traveling to another state over work related matters. But I made sure I had totally cleaned myself up before going out. Then I got home to watch the television, and cleaned the car again in preparation for the ceremony I am going tomorrow.

So that's how my day went, and I am glad you read through my blog.

I was invited to the diary game by @greatness96 and I am glad to be part of @team9-nigeria. Kindly check my membership announcement post.
