THE DIARY GAME: 18/08/2020- EXTRA CLASSES WITH THREE FINAL YEAR STUDENTS
Today i had an off day from work. When i woken up in the morning, i brush my teeth and then tune my radio to sports discussion since am a fun of football. They discuss the possibility of Baryen and PSG wining europian champions leaque this year. I then had fun with my two kids
I organize extra classes for my three final year student every tuesdays thursdays and saturdays. we normally meet after schools closed for the day. Today we discuss 2019 basic education certificate examination theory paper to prepare them for the final year exams coming on september 2020. We discuss the following questions:
1 (a) Explain the following
(i) cardinal points
(ii) scale of a map
(b) describe how one can use the four
cardinal points to determine direction
without the use of a compass
2 (a) define colonization
( b) list five negative effects of colonization on the ghanaian society.
4 (a) describe four attitudes and values needed to prevent conflict in the community
(b) Explain two effects of conflict in the community.
I use child centered method which involve allowing the child or the student to do seventy percent (70%) of the talking during discussion or teaching. This method help the teacher to identify the strength and weakness of the stuslaves
Here are some of the answer the people gave. Effects of colonization on ghana are: 1 the people develop taste for foreign foods
2 foreign clothing and dressing, people are now used to foreign dress than their cultural dress.
3 over exploitation of our resources
4 trading in slaves
I presume this are more of after-school classes, or are schools at some parts of your country operating?
Unlike Kenya where even higher education centers are totally shut until the pandemic curve flattens, as told by the ministry of education. Social studies reminds me the things I was supposed to recite as I never like dit hence my only way was to memorialize the kinky areas.

In ghana all final year students have re-open schools. It was left with few months for academic calender to end and the virus broke out. The government has allow the final year students, starting from basic school to tertiary school to go back to school and complete

Child centered method must be supper effective then. I see how interested they are in the lesson. Much better than when I was in basic school
