The diary game:23rd/08/2020.one of its kind and unique bridal shower
Today i was so excited woke up around 04:00am and was just thinking how I was going to surprise my aunt who was having abridal shower today.
It was not my first time to attend one but this was going to be unique in its own way was just expectant.
Anyway at around 5:00am,I begun praying as my daily routine feeding of my soul then read my bible till 7;00am meanwhile believing God to speak to me and provide for me to buy some surprise for her.
Bridal shower ,here in Uganda is made before the bride gets married.
This is the time set apart for the bride to meet her friends and aunties who would advise her on different things specially the married aunties called (sengas) in uganda.
They separate you from your friends and husband to be then they begin orienting you on how you are supposed to behave and conduct yourself while at your husband's place.
this session is good because you dont just move sheepshilly but move with knowledge on what to do and they are always trusted since they always have experience and have been there.
Its always good to listen from them to avoid clashing with your parents in law especially mother in law.
So i was blessed and honoured to be part and invited and it has been a wonderful day for me because I also got to learn more that was being taught to the bride.
I left home at around 2:00pm and had to set up with my fellow sisters and friends and then we had to move to my elder sisters place.
When you attend abridalshower here in Uganda, you are supposed to dress like the bride and she is the one who choose the kind of colours she wants actually her favourite colours must be the priority.
Reached and had to do some preparations and organisations like decorating the room ,sweeping every where and organising the cake .
Its like afarewell party to the bride from being agirl to awoman so its always a celebration where you eat good food, cut cake and take some sodas .
At around 6:00pm, the bride arrived and was so excited and astonished for the surprise and we had to lift her in the air with all the joy and then crowned her with aflower which symbolised too much love we had for her.
Later we had to present our gifts to the bride then prayed together presenti g our lives to God. After that we said farewell to each other and every one departed to their homes in joy.thank u.

Wow, your culture seems amazing and still intact, you'd be surprised at how bridal showers are done this side of the world. Steem has saved a day for me by giving us all a chance to learn how things are done over other places.
Cute ladies there, maybe you'd point us your position from either side.
Also as an opinion, I'd advice you to check on some formatting for your posts, say have a main heading, some mini-headings along the post for a super eye-catchy times. Have you read the latest post by steemit team on tips and guidelines for the game?

The Bridal shower was a very colorful one. You guys looked so great in those white dresses. White signifies purity in the spiritual knowledge. I believe the bride chose that color with that at the back of her mind.
