A meeting between Steemians by @patience90
In my one year journey on this great platform, I was opportune to meet a quiet number of users many who I've never thought of meeting, some were my recruits during promotion while some were old users.
However, I want to share about few steemians I met and interacted with in the real world.

Peachyladiva is someone who resided in the same city with me before her relocation last year but all the while, I've never knew nor heard about her until I was signed up last year through my brother's wife (charis20)
My encounter with her was during one of the meetups she organized for training at Masha foods close to Dunamis Church Akwanga so we could get to know more about the platform. Before our meetup, I ran out of steempower and when she was contacted, she powered up my account without meeting me so that made me wanna put more effort into the game to refund her which I did immediately I had enough steem in my wallet.
Back to our meeting with peachyladiva. On that fateful Saturday, I got to the venue 10 minutes earlier because I hate keeping people waiting especially if it was the first time or if I have no challenge. When we met and started learning, I felt I've seen her picture somewhere and when I asked, I discovered she is a wife to someone I knew and that even made me relaxed because I knew her husband to be a responsible person who will not want to ruin his reputation.
After rounding up our meetup, she surprised me with a gift of a promotional t-shirt because she and charis20 were wearing some and I was admiring them in my heart and was like I will also buy my t-shirt soon not knowing that one was in the bag waiting for me.

Out second meeting was the following Saturday at the same venue where with others steemians.
There was a day she missed the meetup because of rain so we had to meet at her house and I was impressed with her warm reception though it didn't last long as I had to leave already.
There was a project in a special school for the deaf she started before her relocation and that also bonded us and I also learn that steemit is also into charity work and my love for the Blockchain network increased. There were other times we met but I think I'll have to stop here

Most of our activities were done on WhatsApp thereby living in the same city but not seeing physically due to other steemians schedules but we broke that barrier one and I got to meet pato84 physically though he was the opposite of whom I expected that day until he said

Our first meeting with pato84 was at (College of Education Akwanga](///prefigure.makeups.captioning) and it happened to be the day charis20 printed more promotional t-shirts. That day, I helped in guiding him and he is one hell of an extrovert who is so inquisitive, teachable and funny. He is someone we always disagree to agree and he fondly calls me his steemit sister. His enthusiasm towards content creation is something I'm yet to match and I doubt if I could.

Our subsequent meetings were during steemit promotions in different parts of the city on different days.

These two steemians are wonderful people whom I've learned a lot from their posts and is still learning. I want them both to know that I have no regrets meeting them and if given the opportunity again, I will grab it over and over again.

Wow, you guys have done very well by promoting steemit almost in every part of Akwanga. You guys went as far as going to the deaf school. The zeal to promote steemit is all i see right now. Please keep on the good work and i do hope to join you guys in the next promotion exercise since i am presently here in Akwanga. I wish you the best in this contest.

Meetups are wonderful ways to get encouragement and to encourage others too. It is also a way to receive more education about steemit. Your promotion of steem helps you to meet up with your fellow steemians like Charis20, pato84 and others were truly enjoyable. Meeting with Peachyladiva and carrying out charity projects are also wonderful. I wish I can meet up with you guys and enjoy as well. Thanks for sharing

Its so great how steemit has been able to connect us with people we have never met before and finally we meet them. The two steemians you described in your post have been amazing from all their qualities you stated.
I will never regret been a part of this platform because it has given me hope and then given me a family.

My most interesting part is how you people have not only met but have done a great job in carrying out steemit sensitization in your city. Weldon 👏, I applaud you guys for the great sacrifice you are all carrying out in promoting steemit.

The promotion of steemit has helped to bring a lot of steemians together, I could remember when I met with @ladyofpolicy, steemit promotion brought us together.
